I'm the user that spoilered earlier.
I went to the Peninsula early to get a weapon that I liked (ignoring castle Morne for now) and picked up Irina's letter along the way.
Then I went back and did Stormveil Castle, also gave Hyetta the first Shabiri Grape before going back and finishing the Peninsula. Later I learned that Irina/Edgar/Hyetta quests are intertwined, so giving Hyetta the first grape might have been the trigger that moved Edgar and killed Irina.

My first playthrough I never met Irina nor Hyetta but I saw Edgar. Defeated the boss, found Irina, she dies and Edgar wasn't there but appeared later in her dead body, never got invaded. Second playthrough I talked to Irina, went to the Grace behind Stormveil found Hyetta. Hyetta was there and Irina already dead. Couldn't find Edgar at all, got invaded later by him

Patch 1.04 ruined PVP further and FromSoft is severely out of touch with the community if Buffing everything is the way forward

even there, i mostly suffered trying stuff out, random ass hitbox extension due to that horrible netcode, backstabs snapping your character in position so it works even though it shouldnt. if you ever played a proper competitive game stuff like that is unnaceptable

Hyetta is more open to interpretation, but I believe she's a new personality accidentally created by Edgar when he attempted to use the frenzied flame to resurrect Irina.

i was on a roll in stormveil, so i just pushed through to godrick and finished it, which made edgar disappear from mourne. didnt even get to see her corpse or anything. cool quest design.

nobody fucking cares about your bare bones "competitive" minigame. the game is built around pve. the pvp is an afterthought and just silly little extra thing you can do and shouldnt take that seriously.

There's clearly a connection but I believe there's a lot of cut content that deals with it. Most likely the entire Frenzy Flame path was directly connected to Edgar and Irina but after it was reduced they were left as a different quest.

What's the point of doing quests for NPCs if they all die. Best fucking ignore all of them. If I wanted to be a murder hobo I'd just kill them myself
