None at the moment, but after finishing umineko I want to read higanbana
Do it. It's shorter and I enjoyed it. Izanami was my favorite cahracter.

Just finished Muramasa. It was pretty good. Hero was the best route, true route started to filter me a bit. Chachamaru best girl
yes, you baldr sky is a game you play
Sakura Wars, currently at episode 3
Yes, Sakura Wars lets you play a strategy game that's similar to Fire Emblem
Dohna Dohna
Playing VNs on the Steam Deck is peak comfy.
this one
>Hero was the best route
Good taste. I don't think I can name best girl, all of them were fantastic
>Playing VNs on the Steam Deck is peak comfy.
I can imagine, played through a few on my Switch. Unfortunately, my Deck hasn't arrived yet
baldr sky has better gameplay than most actual games
then it isn’t a VN
>Playing VNs on the Steam Deck is peak comfy
True, I'm emulating "sakura wars so long my love" on it and having a lot of fun
If I wanted to read Kara no Shoujo, what's the best version? I see there's a full HD version and there's a version on Steam. And more importantly, is it worth my time?
Fata Morgana
>what's the best version?
HD version has the exact same translation, but updated visuals. Get this one
>is it worth my time?
Absolutely
drop it, it's shiiit
vns are not games.
ffxiv
What do you recommend instead
Fate Stay/Night
literally anything else, morgana is boring shit and you'd be more satisfied looking up what gets revealed/what happens to the faggot characters on a wiki page than wasting your time actually reading it
>bruh
Nu fucking Yea Forums
Try Requiem For Innocence, it's really good.
>morgana le boring!
>posts little busters
Low effort bait.
I mean yeah it was boring a lot of times and I have yet to see the purpose of the whole thing but it is somewhat entertaining kinda. I love the rich guy in door 3 even though I saw all of the twists with Maria or the doors before that coming. I was planning to drop the VN because I didn't see the purpose but my interest got revitalized by a jumpscare/hidden dialogue in the door 4 backlog so now I'm at door 5. It's not as good as I expected but it is enjoyable
Last thread someone recommended I give Aokana another shot. Whoever that user was, thank you for that, your a real one.
Just did the cat route and it was fucking great. Now I'm doing Mashiro and she is so damn cute that I'm getting goosebumps. Neighbor girl will be after this before I finish with Asuka.
I want routes for some of the side characters badly though.Madoka, Inui, Mystery Mask girl, and Satouin all need routes in a fan disk, they have 10/10 designs
Don't listen to this retard Finish Fata Morgana from start to finish and form your opinion about it instead of dropping it and having no real critique about it
It gets incredibly good at the end and make the journey worth going through
I wish I could do cool combos like that
Sakura mmo.
Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen.
Seems ok.
>rich guy in door 3
Jacopo, right? He gets his own prequel VN and it's arguably better.
>thinks morgana is good and litbus is boring
Holy shit taste
>I love the rich guy in door 3
I can promise you that he's the only decent character but even he gets shit on later on.
>It gets incredibly good at the end and make the journey worth going through
It really doesn't. The peak is doors 3/4/5 and even then they aren't that good.
Yes the based mafia immigrant who couldn't open up
>He gets his own prequel VN and it's arguably better.
Good I want to know how he ran the mafia
>umineko poster
>shit talking, other VN
Good goat.
Stop talking like an impressionable minority youth
You actually get to see his medieval version. I'm not going to say more since you didn't reach the final part yet.
None at the moment as I am quite busy, but I am planning to finally finish Makina and Sachi's route when I have the time.
Currently reading this guy's visual novel.
>halo like thing
>smiling
>while he is a psychopath
is 428 shibuya scramble a visual novel? I'm about to start reading/playing it soon. I just finished Raging Loop and Fata Morgana recently, they were good but didn't itch my WTC/AA desire
Yes it is, but I don't really like 428. I think it's very overrated here - it's just ok, doesn't live up to the hype
FFXIV
>is 428 shibuya scramble a visual novel? I'm about to start reading/playing it soon.
It is, and it's really fun. Nice characters and a lot of weird and funny bad ends.
Umineko was the peak of the VN genre.
428 is kino
I just finished this. It was pretty good.
Yes, it made me really wish more VNs would use photos.
Swan Song
>want to buy some visual novels on steam (mostly old stuff like grisaia or clannad)
>they're censored and/or cost more than some triple A games
Why must it be steam specifically? Some sort of brand loyalty?
Clannad has no H scenes, so the Steam version will be the complete edition.
>noooo you can't sell a 70 hours game for $40!!!
I already have an account there so I checked which vns they had. I thought I'd find some cheap classics but I was wrong.
Reading Remember 11, Hotel Dusk, and Your Turn To Die. Alternating between them. HD is generally my train commute game, YTTD is the episodic game I'm playing each weekend, and R11 is my current before bed obsession. Really enjoying HD, cautiously optimistic with YTTD, and intrigued by R11 despite its monotonous setting.
Only ever bought the 07th games and subahibi on steam. Rest of them I torrent because if I buy them I feel obligated to finish them rather than because I actually really like what I'm reading
>censored
they usually have patches, some official some not
>cost more than triple a
I think the only popular vn I've seen that is unfairly priced is ciconia. Most of the others seem pretty fair considering the length and that they usually have an alright translation. I'd rather support visual novel translations than any AAA garbage
>playing YTTD before the release of Chapter 3-2
why
>and intrigued by R11 despite its monotonous setting.
Holy shit this. Also reading it myself right now and despite the pacing being tighter and overall more enjoyable than e17 the random facility and cabin just don't do it for me like the ominous underwater themepark did. I'm not set on dropping it yet but I wish it was better because the mystery and overall atmosphere is cool as fuck
If you're not enjoying Remember 11, I'd just drop it. The ending is terrible. In the way that there is no ending. The story just... stops.
I've been interested in this one because of the gameplay. What's your take on the story? I'm still debating on picking it up.
Story is just okay, nothing special. Way too many flashbacks which kill the pacing, the true ending was dumb, but the action scenes in the later routes were cool. MC is cool
tldr: treat it as a DMC game, the story is just fun filler between the real meat of the game
final boss and the sequence leading up to it is kino as hell, every girl except for the first one and the non heroines are bad
many many many flashbacks with repeats that don't count as "seen" so you can't skip them
came for the story, stayed for the gameplay
Doesn't it resolve itself when you piece together some of the bad endings? That's what I heard at least
I've been playing through fruit of Grisaia for like a year and a half. I also got a copy of school days, edelweiss, and Ever 17 waiting if I actually ever get through Grisaia.
