THIS GAME IS FUCKING AWESOME
WHY DIDN'T I PLAY IT EARLIER, HOW HAVE I BEEN MISSING OUT
GODDAMN
THIS GAME IS FUCKING AWESOME
Have fun. Remember to save often if on PC, the Steam port tends to crash sometimes.
Glad to hear you're enjoying it user. Check out some other Suda51/GHM stuff if you haven't. Gameplay can be janky but if you're digging the world/characters in NMH you might enjoy some of the other games.
wish i played sooner on the wiii. maybe its for the best. would have destroyed my tv.
I played this so many times over in the Wii it is probably in my top 5 most played games on the console. It's a great game man.
Back when Yea Forums was right about video games. Now they unironically enjoy gatcha.
Based taste.
NMH2 lost the charm that made the first game special but it's still a decent game. Be sure to play that too.
Yeah, it's pretty fun, doesn't really overstay its welcome either. I think 2 is alright as well.
I'm playing on my physical Wii. Dug it out of storage on a whim, forgot I'd already hacked it years ago, have spent the day jerking off with my Wiimote.
I definitely will after this.
Not NMH related, but have you tried Sin and Punishment Star Successor? It's a rail shooter and pretty difficult, but if you haven't played that, give it a go too. I only say that since you said you recently hooked your Wii back up.
avoid nmh3 at all costs. falseflaggers will bring up the meme shirt but it's a shovelware title in everything except menu design
I have not, but I'll add it to the list.
REAPER REAPER
none of the games are particularly high budget, they're remembered for style and music
>fuck racism
LMAO I'm glad the studio went under and now only makes chink mobileshit.
2 is still good, just feels more like an expansion pack made by a outsourced company like Opposing Force to Half Life
Glad you're enjoying it user. It's been a favorite of mine for over a decade now. Where are you at currently? Be sure to collect all the beam katanas. Trust me, the reward is fucking amazing.
For me it's this. No boss theme will ever top this.

After playing DMC3 I don't think it holds a candle to the Dante and Vergil fights the game was parodying, but the Henry fight was still so cool and memorable. NMH1 had the best secret boss I've seen in a while
I definitely agree but the Henry fight is still my favorite moment in the series for the music and how they made the most out of the simple but fun combat. I just wish we got to play him more in 2 instead of having the Shinobu levels.
>The food? It tasted like blood.
I love how it's swinging between gratuitous silly violence and this.
Shit
> Where are you at currently?
Shinobu. I am dying a lot. I don't even care.
I think it was really misleading how they advertised having him and shinobu as playable characters when they get 3 levels total (henry only being playable for 1 level which is just a dream boss fight and nothing else)
I'm a 2 defender though so I don't really hate the game, it's just a shame how underutilized those 2 were in general
NO MORE HEROES
IT'S
KILL OR BE KILLED
Admission: I heard the theme song in TF2's Cyberpunk map before I ever played the game itself.
I cherish all four games in the series and think they all excel in their own standout ways even if find 1 to be the best and 2 to be the worst. Also, The Silver Case was more memorable than Killer7.
Shinobu is arguably the hardest boss in the game, so don't worry.
I like 2 as well but yeah there were some things that were pretty underutilized. I did love the Mimmy fight cause Henry was so much fun to play as. Also correct me if I'm wrong, but in 2 doesn't Henry take out some assassins off-screen for Travis? I don't get why they wouldn't have those as playable levels unless there were time and budget restraints.
>Henry take out some assassins off-screen for Travis? I don't get why they wouldn't have those as playable levels unless there were time and budget restraints.
I think they admitted that as a joke in the voicemail message he left
Not the first, but what the fuck did Suda change Philistine for the west? It was fine as it was.

I didn't care for NMH2, but this song was waaaay too good. I still listen to this track sometimes and I played NMH 2 when it first came out on the Wii
So the Shinobu bosses in 2 a the absolute lowest in the series, right? Like, not even a contest? Even some of the meh, bosses in TSA weren't as bad as Destroyman 2. Even Native Dancer in 3 spending half his boss fight being a tutorial for the Death Glove was more fun than that.
Seriously, the fact it actually requires you to cheese them is so fucking asinine. Especially on Hard.
Play every Suda game. Get into his Kill The Past series, NMH is a part of it btw.
Honestly I prefer the Western version. To me the JP one sounds like a fan remix you would find on youtube or something.
The autotune effect kind of sucks, and the piano stuff makes it sound even more like a fan remix. IMO the US version's clean vocals but crunchy techno music is the much better mix and both fits and sounds better.
I don't like the autotune either, but the part at 3:40 is so damn good
for some reason i just got an extreme nostalgia burst to seeing that specific image on Yea Forums constantly
Margaret Moonlight is just too good.
yeah but i don't even remember the exact context at all, just seeing that image cropped into thumbnail size all the time
110% they're the worst bosses in the series. You spend more time chasing Million Gunman around then you do fight him, and the Twin Destroymans are the prime example on how NOT to do a double boss. The only redeeming qualities are the music and how Gunman is voiced by Colonel Campbell.
>ryuichi theme finally got ripped

What's so great about it? I played it on the Wii and I remember it being completely mindless button mashing.
I love Suda but OP can definitely skip some of the stuff he worked on like Shadows of the Damned and Lollipop Chainsaw. It wasn't all bad, I really like Killer Is Dead and Sine Mora, but there's some stuff from him you can skip. What's he up to now after NMH3? I know he's working on a game with Swery and Keiichiro Toyama, and he's mentioned a Flower, Sun, and Rain remake. Personally I kinda hope the latter happens so we can have an English version of FSR that doesn't sound like shit. Seriously why was it ported to the DS of all platforms?
It's fun
sometimes that's all you want in life
>15 years old when this came out
>loved my Wii but was sort of jealous at first of friends for having more mature games to play
>get this
>me and friends end up obsessing over it
The feeling of playing this and Madworld along with Galaxy, Virtual Console, my GameCube collection, etc; I have unabashedly always loved and always will love the Wii.
If we hadn't been so obsessed with looking "casual," we'd be years ahead with console aiming for shooters being on par with mouse/keyboard but we instead struggle to keep our heads up with sort of okay substitutes.
cool, me too.
Sadly, the game series cannot be talked about on Yea Forums anymore because the creator made /pol/ mad.
They ruined a good song. I'll never understand it. The remix is a fucking mess. What fucking value do any of the changes have?
There's supposedly a third version (australian release) of it but I never found it.
I'm talking about the Japanese version by the way. The game released first in the US with a normal version of Phillistine. In the later releases in other countries the song sounds like a shitty remix. Because it is a shitty remix.
>I love Suda but OP can definitely skip some of the stuff he worked on like Shadows of the Damned and Lollipop Chainsaw
Those were fun though.
>What's he up to now after NMH3?
He never mentioned anything in particular, he's still promoting NMHIII. Him and SWERY just released all the games they've been working for years so I hope they're working on Hotel Barcelona in earnest now. I don't think Toyama is working with them on it though, he's been busy with Slitterhead.
>and he's mentioned a Flower, Sun, and Rain remake
He did mention that and a killer7 remake at some point but nothing came of it as he needed funds but unfortunately he did not get it. Maybe there is no demand? FSR is incredible and I wish more people would play it.
>Seriously why was it ported to the DS of all platforms?
DS at the time was huge in Japan, just like how he ported TSC to the Switch, those games have an audience in Nintendo's consoles because everyone and their mothers have Nintendo consoles in Japan. If you read Japanese, I recommend playing the PS2 version.
The JP one is way worse than the western one wtf are you talking about?
>came of it as he needed funds but unfortunately he did not get it.
He made TSA to fund NMH3, and look how that turned out. I'd rather not have him ruin Killer7.
TSA was one of the greatest Suda games, dropping the le random humor for some actual story and KtP/TSC. Best thing since 25th ward.
I meant how NHM3 turned out, not TSA.
Oh I see. Can't comment on that since I'm waiting for the PC port that just got announced.
Sad to see so many people not liking NMH3
Anyone mind explaining to me why this franchise is "Nintendo first"
I don't know but apparently hurt NHM3 a lot because the dev team had to cut parts of the game because they wouldn't run on the Switch.
>gatcha
i'll never get over how they made 'margaret is greek, you geek' and 'dream on, you goddamn pussy' as actual lyrics in a bangin' song
I used my nintendo club points back then to have this game for like 10$ at day one.
Feels good man.
The others went for a u r mr gay and madworld t-shirts
