Seedbed Curse [8193]
>Curse grown on a corpse killed and defiled by the Dung Eater. A tender pox afflicted with omen horns.
>The Dung Eater cultivates the seedbed curse on corpses.
>By doing so he prevents dead souls returning to the Erdtree, leaving them forever cursed. One of the most loathsome things found in all the Lands Between.
Is seedbed curse the only thing that tells us that souls return to the erdtree?
if the elden ring doesn't control the laws of realty why doesn't everyone just ignore it and do what they want?
"Mask forced on a victim's head to lend torture an extra degree of cruelty.
It magnifies one's fears and makes them acutely aware of all forms of pain.
Raises attack power when the wearer suffers from madness.
When the Black Dumpling goes on, the torturer no longer seeks answers; only to inflict suffering without hope of relief."
Literally what the fuck is wrong with Rykard?
snek
worked out real well for the giants
loves the GW a lil bit too much
lots of things mention it
ougonritu
Rykard wanted to get to Haligtree to eat Miquella/Malenia so he tortured the Albinaurics for info. Once he had the info or realized they didn't know, he put that shit on them because he's a psychopath.
>"I had my doubts, but...my, look at you. Only once before have I seen two Great Runes together.
Look there. The Fingers shudder with exuberance.
When was the first time and who owned them?
>lots of things mention it
Like, I honestly can't find anything specifically linking "soul"
Lots of stuff on the bodies being thrown on roots, but nothing about souls
his title was praetor user, he was the judge and executioner of the demigods
it was his job
Elden beast is the greater will. Marika realized it was malicious and shattered the elden ring to cut it off from the lands between. Also the erdtree is already dead.
Only ones I could think of would be Renalla with Ranni, or Malenia with Miquella.
He hated the gods and the greater will
Simple lore.
t.ranni is unironically the worst character in the game made to pander to your average spinless anime virgin.
t.rannifags must be mocked and humiliated at every possible opportunity.
He is such turbo tard.
>Murder your lovable brother in cold blood to be free of the GW
>That has unforseen consequences
>...That has A LOT of unforseen consequences
Ranni is ok but her rabid fags are insufferable
because this is a headcanon thread by and for retards
Why does this bitch invade you? I'd get one of her sisters doing it, but she's literally just up the road dying of scarlet rot, and you're trying to help her.
secretly wants nox pussy
loves the gw, hates human gods
Like she didn't even try to fix or express empathy for the fucked up immortality she had a part in creating (and im not talking abt Marika). Rogier and everyone were even doing sth.
the schizos who whine about her and the tranimefags obsessed with her are all insufferable
i hate every single one of you, fuck off from lore threads forever
nobody does anything but Fia, Maliketh, and the ones who hunt skeletons. Nobody even gives a fuck, it's like Miyazaki created this shit and forgot to address if outside of a very specific questline. Or maybe he didn't forget and just wanted autists to talk about it for hours. probably that, desu
Aids clone
>黃金律
Pretty sure it was Vyke. No idea about which runes he had though
Being reincarnated by the erdtree is headcanon right?
Why are there ashe summons?
>Hype Malenia vs Radahn since the revealed trailer
>Hype them as the strongest warriors
>the game barely touch it
>No detailed or reason they're at each other troat
>Never focus on them
>Most of the in game lore and narrative are central around Golden Lineage and Night of the Black Knife
>Morgott and Ranni are the most important Demigod in the game
I hype the fuck out about Radahn and Malenia and the game barely touch them. What the fuck were they thinking?
Invasion is mystery in this game.
>Vkye invade you while jailed in mountaintop ???
>You invade NPC but they actually die ???
>Dung Eater appear as invader in roundtable and shit talk you but he is losing his mind and don't recognize you in leyndell ???
His younger brother as well. The plot with castle sol is interesting so i hope it got expended in dlc.
>No detailed or reason they're at each other troat
Did you watch the intro? Demigods fought in the Shattering to become a lord.
[14000000] The fallen leaves tell a story.
[14000100] The great Elden Ring was shattered.
[14000200] In our home, across the fog, the Lands Between.
[14000300] Now, Queen Marika the Eternal is nowhere to be found,
[14000400] and in the Night of the Black Knives, Godwyn the Golden was first to perish.
[14000500] Soon, Marika's offspring, demigods all, claimed the shards of the Elden Ring.
[14000600] The mad taint of their newfound strength triggered the Shattering.
[14000800] A war from which no lord arose.
[14000900] A war leading to abandonment by the Greater Will.
yeah I always forget Miquella does stuff
Cut content. There was a quest line for Radahn and his follower serving the god of vengeance.
Yeah
I don't think the demigods are actually fighting to become lord though
They all have different motivations and ambitions outside of becoming lord that are detailed in the game.
They probably wouldn't mind having all the great runes though.
…
I watch it but it does not make any sense for Malenia to march from Haligtree to fight Radahn in Caelid while ignored Morgott, Rykard, Ranni and Godrick.
Bernahl
Noxian spirit calling magic
Same reason numen Marika can spirit tune
he's autistic
You are right but realizing their ambitions would still require doing something to Marika hence "lord" and the line
>A war from which no lord arose.
It's semantics so who cares though
You are talking about a character who we barely know making decisions at a time and circumstance we barely understand.
>Soon, Marika's offspring, demigods all, claimed the shards of the Elden Ring.
I kinda always interpreted it as the demigods got their hands on a rune then
>The mad taint of their newfound strength
Is them getting ideas in their head with the newfound power. They all think up an idea on how to help or save the world, and then they all just get in eachothers' way. Finally
>A war from which no lord arose.
>A war leading to abandonment by the Greater Will.
Is just the GW ass-blasted the elden ring isn't fixed yet
Happy 420 bros don’t forget to elden blaze it up yoooo
There is a reason Radagon dumped that rotten pussy asap
Yes, which is the reason I said it is ridiculous we know fuck all about them despite the hype.
not that user but we can infer
i think my inference is accurate given what we know
Only thing I disagree with is that tbe character "uses" it. He doesnt zse it, it does its own jam the moment its free.
The tree burns for real because death has rerurnes to the world, Morgotts body dies because it has returned. The inage in the OP makes it sound like we are actively using it as if it was in our control while it isnt. Theres alao the crone warning you that releasing the rune will slay the world itself which it does in a metaphorical way.
yeah because he’s a power hungry zealot who only married my mother in law because he lost to her TWICE
I dont think it makes sense because Malenia skipped Godrick and keft him with his Rune just to march to Vaelid.
It makes more sense that Malenia marched towards Radahn considering Moghwyn Palace is directly under Caelid.
If the ring doesn't actually control anything then there isn't any point in repairing it.
Patches said there's a virgin that will send me right to the foot of the Eldtree, I'm gonna be The Elden Lord!
The funniest thing to me, is that we have no idea if Miquella was or was not captured at that time.
There is this cut content shit about St. Trina that suggests he was abducted at one point, but they completely removed it from the game
[335040000] You know, a holy personage was once abducted from these lands.
[335040010] Thus I am here in search of clues that might unravel the mystery.
[335040020] The abductor's bloody footprints are said to have disappeared in the Forest of Ancient Bowers.
[335040030] Hm? That's quite a face you're pulling...
[335040040] Need I remind you? Though I am but a humble man of the cloth,
[335040050] each of us has our secrets, my compeer.
Section 41
[335041000] You know, a holy personage was once abducted from these lands.
[335041010] Thus I am here in search of clues that might unravel the mystery.
[335041020] The abductor's bloody footprints are said to have disappeared in the Forest of Ancient Bowers.
Section 50
[335050000] Finally, I have found it!
[335050010] St. Trina's, no, Lord Miquella's cadaver.
[335050020] I have partaken of untold secrets.
[335050030] Such that I might aid you, O Lord.
[335050040] So please, I hope you can welcome your humble servant Rhico,
[335050050] Into your dream, the world of your heart.
[335050060] Indeed, I beg you grant my wish,
[335050070] That when you transcend from empyrean to god, allow me a place by your side.
Just drink this here sizzling wondrous flask and you’ll get 72 virgins bro
with what we know about the haligtree, malenia's obsession with trying to protect miquella and his dream, and radahn's war glorification and godfrey idolization, i think malenia only went down there to kill him as he was the strongest
malenia does not care about being elden lord or repairing the elden ring, she just wants to help her brother finish the haligtree which was supposed to replace the erdtree, and usher in a new age with miquella being the empyrean who would rule over it
everything about radahn paints him out to be a alexander the great wannabe with his entire goal being becoming a grand general, and all of his item descriptions depict him as someone who idolizes his general of a father, and of godfrey, another incredible general who helped establish the golden order
he already tried taking the capital before being repelled by morgott, and it was my belief that he was 100 percent planning on reassembling his army then going on another crusade to gather the other fragments and becoming elden lord himself, just like his heroes godfrey and radagon and thats when malenia started her march south
she only cares about protecting her brother, so she went down there to stop the mightiest of the demigods since he was by far the biggest threat to their planned new order and he was at his weakest after retreating from the capital
she left morgott, godrick, and the rest alone and only fought godrick when he got in the way and left him alone after that because she didnt care like i said, malenia sought the opportunity to neutralize the growing threat before he got too strong
the alternative would have been to wait for him to get stronger and try again at becoming elden lord, and that would mean malenia sitting there with miquella at their home just waiting to get besieged
Why do Iji and Ranni refer to her journey as "the dark path of the Empyrean"? They don't refer to it as hers either, so it seems like Empyreans in general walk a "dark path". Do all empyreans have some weird catch to godhood ascension?
Gods are fuckboys for the Outer Gods they serve. Becoming an Empyrean effectively means relinquishing your free will and accepting your fate as a tool (which none of the empyreans accepted).
Even Marika noped out eventually.
I think you're totally right on everything on that in the event that Miquella was still in the tree when she left.
i also believe miquella was taken while malenia was away marching south
we dont know how else mohg would have done it with malenia constantly looming over miquella
Marika had her free will though. Or maybe the GW is more retarded than we thought.
Iji doesn’t really have deeper knowledge about empyreans. He does have deeper knowledge about Ranni specifically though. He calls it a dark path for the same reason she talks about “cold, lonely, emotionless” or whatever. Her goals are not exactly pleasant for her in the end.
I don’t get how this works, didn’t she she kill her empyrean body? Why is she still regarded as one?
Depending on how you interpret the sieges, it's possible Malenia actually participated in or defended against one, the first defense also mentions a "bloody conspiracy" and during that time it's possible he was kidnapped.
But all this is just reaching
pretty sure its them using their new god potential powers for uses outside of the greater will's will
like how miquella wanted to be a new god and ranni eventually becoming just that as well
She still intends to host the Ring, but not for the GW
