Are you ready for the hardest game ever released on Steam?
Glover on Steam
Oh great grandpas trying to relieve le good ole days again.
Grandpa please just disconnect your internet, no one besides your Doom club like this chunky milk games.
Glover is difficult, but far from "the hardest game." On Steam or otherwise.
>an N64 platformer being "Hard"
play through this bitch on actual hardware like I did and and see if you can say you're good at video games
ok ;_;
Piko does it again.
Not gonna lie, I'm hyped. I shouldn't be, but I am.
>getting released by Bleem!
>it's going to be the old n64 rom stuck in a shitty open source emulator that barely runs vomited onto steam
Glover is dead, it's been scooped up by a vulture, not anyone who cares.
Just emulate it, you'll get a better experience than whatever happens to get shat onto steam anyway.
Was Glover ever really alive?
piko owns the bleem name and is just using that for name recognition. they've also said this isn't an emulator wrapper
>paying money for a shitty emulator running a rom
Game is pretty easy minus the frog bonus level.
The first game sold really well but the story goes that they ordered roughly five to ten times more n64 carts than they should have, so the higher ups called it a failure for their own mistake.
hasbro interactive was already dying anyway, so it didnt help.
>it's not an emulator wrapper!
I don't believe them. I will wait and see.
If this fucker costs more than $9.99 I swear to fucking GOD...
Shit should be 99 cents at MOST
This, Glover is also still one of the few fairly cheap big-name cartridge games on N64. You can still get good condition copies for $12-$15 on eBay right now.
This is the most random throwback lol wtf?
Is it really an emulated ROM? Did they lose the source code of the PC version?
>Big name
I see your prescription needs a refill
gloverbros, zoomers are making fun of us again...
It ran at 15fps? Goddamn I didn't know any better as a kid. Wish I was still so easily satisfied. Would save so much on PC upgrades if my standard was 15fps.
Is it true that a few OG developers of this became actual real life pirates that raided a vessel and proceeded to take hostages which ended with them killing one or two of their detainees to prove that they are being serious?
After this they're apparently going to work on finishing up the sequel that got cancelled
>Big name
Glover was obscure as fuck even when it was new.. I don't think you know what you're talking about..
Kys namefag
what the fuck?
Is this a port or just emulation? It will heavily dictate if I want to buy this.
they claim it's a source port based on the n64 version
your wording has me assume their word isn't to be trusted. idk anything about this publisher so i'll just assume that and give it a day or two past release and see if people kick up dust about it not actually being a port or something.
elden ring is already on steam
Fucking WHY? There was a PC version!
it's just more that they're a weird little company and n64 porting isn't the easiest thing, so we'll see
the pc version was kinda shit, used old graphics plugins like glide, and really only had higher res textures going for it
Can You run the PC versione with wrappers like nGlide or DgVoodoo?
from what I understand it doesn't play very well with wrappers or vms and the best you can hope for is getting it to boot in software mode where it looks really bad
I like that.
We spent the first 20 years of our lives living in the golden age of American gaming, culture and economy. What do you zoomers have to show for your childhood? Nothing. You were born into the beginning of a garbage era, and you will die in a grim, bleak future that you will have to endure longer than we will. Where you faggots are spending your teenage years trying to simulate serotonin hits from 10 second Tik Tok videos in order not to accept your hopeless fate and kill yourselves, we experienced true splendor in the arcades and living rooms of the 90s. We can look back, while you have nothing to look forward to.
Trump is a nigger jew cuck
Life without mobile phones was better.
Based as all fuck if true.
I traded Mario Kart 64 for glover when i was a kid. I still regretti to this day
Based post. Too bad for the Trump faggy picture though.
>This game plans to unlock in approximately less than an hour
come onnnnn
How much is it?
no idea yet
>Coming soon
>This item is not yet available
FUCK
IS THIS SHIT COMING OUT OR NOT
FUCK ME CUNT I JUST WANT TO PLAY GLOVER AGAIN
Quiet zoom zoom the adults are talking.
>No price reveal
>Missed it's own launch
The fuck is going on?
Quietly delayed
I mean new releases usually come out at midnight or 10am pacific, so the fact it was counting down to 2am pacific was really odd, and I'm willing to bet it was a mistake
don't buy this on steam. just emulate.
the devs who are releasing this port are scum
I'll be pirating it. Native widescreen and a stable 30FPS is better than emulating will do.
>hasbro interactive
loved Frogger 1997, Frogger 2, and Pac-Man Adventures In Time
I think the only level that gave me a little trouble was the space gate one
Why are they scum?
i dont care about gay americans the 20th is almost over
playing the the ps1 version as a child and not caring its the shit version
>glover ps1
damn dude, sorry for your loss
I'm surprised someone made a thread for this. I though this site was overrun with zoomers who weren't even born when this game came out. I approve of this.
I hired this out from the video store way back. I had to stop playing because I got creeped out by the eerie atmosphere. Even though all 3d platformers from that era had that same feeling, this one was especially bad.
>release date
>still no pricing, let alone actual release
>it's Piko Interactive
there is 100% some sort of tomfuckery afoot with this port
