The reason for that (isolation) is personal and I don't wanna write a blog, but the long and short of it is that sometimes difficult things happen or you could have inherited certain tendencies, and you can fall off the track of what's considered healthy social skills development, but no one is gonna wait for you and things only get harder from there.

My family has suspected I've had ADHD since I was a little kid, and I definitely see it. Honestly should probably go for a diagnosis at some point, even if I don't go for treatment, just so I know either way.

ADHD is usually misdiagnosed autism. Sensory issues makes us have bad attention spans and hyper. I knew a guy who went through it but got q proper diagnosis later on.

I just use weighted blankets, weight lifting and driving and no meds. Deep pressure input helps.

Having severe unironic ADHD has really effected my quality of life since it makes literally everything harder but autists have it worse in some ways but in someways they can’t comprehend what’s exact wrong with them because of it. Most autist probably don’t fret about not having empathy but ADHD doesn’t impair your perception or general cognition so you’re extremely aware of your inabilities

I've recently suspected that I have some sort of attention problem after a long time not being able to focus on or retain certain things but because I'm not bouncing off the walls wahoo bing bong, it's never been brought up with doctors. My ADHD is absolutely terrible. My entire life is one big pretend. I'm dumb as a box of rocks and I can't plan further than the next hour. "Graduated" college with a 2.5 GPA in bullshit English stuff. It's bad.

Question for the anons here who got diagnosed with ADHD as an adult. I've read horror stories of people going to docs who think of it as a children's condition, and getting a schizophrenia misdiagnosis instead. Any of you deal with that, and if you did how easy was it to get corrected? I'm pretty sure I have it, but don't want to deal with the hassle of a schizophrenia misdiagnosis
