I didn't summon at all. On my first playthrough I used torrent. On my second I just fought him normally and beat him in 3 tries. Mainly because I kept trying to land war cry.

But his rolls only go one direction and completely miss you if you stand at the correct foot (can't remember if it was the missing foot or the good one). The Fire Giant is literally the easiest "major" boss in the game.

Yes I said it's not hard, I farmed runes helping people with the boss and most of those times I pretty much solo'd it. The second phase goes on for too long and it's another Elden Beast moment where you have to follow the boss around the whole map

If she’s using spells and not mooveil or wing of astel then she would be better off using colossal weapons. The only decent spell for bosses before today’s patch was carian slicer or comet azur and they both have extreme weaknesses and require you to sacrifice red flasks
