It took some time for the art of Shrift to grow on me, but I'm glad it did. It's truly unique, and I appreciate it. Alot of H games all just blend together, so it's nice to have something different. The animated sex scenes are a nice touch, too.

Basically due to the mechanics of the setting there's been long time criticizers of "Demonic Energy" and the monster girls that use it because they basically saw it as brainwash demon energy whereas Kenkou attempts to portray it as a miracle material that can do literally anything. This criticism/seethe eventually morphed into "genocide" fanfictions (though only a few actually contained monster girl genocide), where the protagonist is hostile to monster girls for whatever reason.

Kenkou was severely assblasted over the existence of genocide fics. So much so that he, a Japanese citizen, emailed the administrators of Fanfiction.net telling them to take down the genocide fictions because they "misrepresent" his IP or whatever. The Good Hunter, The Knight, all kino lost in Kenkou's purge. He couldn't even let us imagine killing monster girls in peace
