It was released on a current gen console. P3 and 4 were on the PS2 way, way late into its lifespan.

I read somewhere that at some point in development she was planned to be a phantom thief. P5R is already too long but it would have made for a good dungeon. Learning that her matches were fixed and she wasn't a genius is more interesting than any of the other confidants.
