Refute this

what part needs refuting?

Both are free

nintendo is god

The difference is that I know who Samus is and want to play her games. Couldn't give a flying fuck who Hollow Knight is or why his sequel is in development hell.
Ok jew.

Why *is* his sequel in development hell, though?

One game was made on a budget while the other wasn't. You would have to be retarded not to notice how more polished and expensive looking DREAD is compared to HK.

Hollow Knight overstayed it's welcome. I got bored a uninstalled a couple hours after you get that sword that lets you talk to ghosts or whatever.

Hollow Knight lost me in the first 25 minutes because I didn't know where to go, what a piece of shit

>dread already forgotten
>hollow knight still discussed daily half a decade later
I'm so glad we're all in agreement that the genre is called hollowlike since both metroid and castlevania lost the culture war and hollow knight is forever

A metroidvania indie that takes 58 fucking hours to fully complete really doesn't sound appealing at all, even 40 is overkill.

seriously. the map goes on forever and even fast travel doesn't help it.

You really shouldn't ignore a game simply based on the fact that there's no brand recognition you can immediately connect to. It's not "10/10 zomg best gaem evar" like some may claim, but it's fun. Can't disagree on the fact that it starts slow but a couple movement upgrades later and you're flying through the levels. It even has legitimately difficult optional content towards the end.

>Metroid Dread
>Adds extra difficulty modes and a boss rush but aren't mandatory at all

>Hollow Knight
>Adds a bullshit boss rush that is mandatory if you want the true ultimate 100% canon ending

Yeah, I'm thinking Dread is pretty based.

>redditknight

>still seething over his shit indie game

They're both free if you aren't retarded

The only time anyone mentions Hollow Knight is when they mention Metroid. Usually to bait, just like this thread.

Factorio: $15. 1000 hours.

hollow knight was too expansive, too confusing, and honestly had too much content

dread was a smooth, streamlined experience that challenged you without wasting your time with cryptic puzzles and unreasonable bosses

You forgot the most important bit: Hollow Knight actually goes on sale!

>I'm a fucking retard so the game bad
Get fucking filtered lmao

Hollow Knight is better, I know that and don’t care. Metroid has numerous quality games under its belt while Hollow Knight struggles for years to get a fucking sequel

I don't really know how I did it but I finished these games around roughly the same time if ingame time is to be taken into account. Hollow Knight was longer but only by a hour or two.
100%'d neither however so take that as you will

>>dread already forgotten
See

Absolute troidlet cope, go into the archive and you'll find daily Hollow Knight threads but for metroid you'll only see coom threads about samus and not video games.
You will never be samus.

Not an argument.
Metroid lost, grow up.

I masturbated more to hollow knight characters than metroid so it's clearly better

Probably because they charge too little for their huge ass beautiful amazing games
I'd happily pay 60 for HK

quality over quantity
metroidvania is replayable as fuck. imagine slogging through the depths of hollow knight ever again jesus christ

>quality over quantity
Dread has neither

Hollow Knight is the "Elden Ring" of metroidvanias
big, empty and filled to the brim with copy paste padding

Hollow Knight has been on the market for several years, Dread has not. Hollow Knight's devs don't have the same budget and capability to sell their product at a 60 dollar price tag (if no one buys because the price is too high, then it's a major loss in revenue when they cut the price down), where Nintendo has the ability to and can sell Dread at that price point and not lose out on revenue, especially with Dread's success in the franchise. Indies have to fight in a much more crowded market then triple A releases do, so they have to have good price points and features in order to stand out from the seas of indies just like it that are selling for more or less. Nintendo has the standard for double and triple A releases that they can cut through the majority of games released and have mass critical acclaim and sales, especially as an exclusive on a hotly selling system.

This, I've replayed Dread 9 times for comparison and I'm going to keep replaying it.

brand loyalty

Favela nigger thread. You went back to your shit with smtv too not too long ago. Ban for your meltdowns finally expired?

>metroidfag talking about development hell

Got them both for free, I prefer Metroid, fucking Hollow Knight goes on and on.....anyway I beat radiance before the retarded boss rush dlc, never touched it again, If silksong is more focused I might consider pirating it if it ever releases

Top is a better game than bottom. all those extra hours on HK are just padding because travel is so shit in that game.

why don't you send them an extra 40 bucks then paypiggie? Don't try to drag the rest of us with you

same, I was completely lost and already bored to death

yes tendies, we know you can only play bing bing yahoos

Gift an extra 3 copies out.

Best version of Hollow Knight confirmed to be on Nintendo Switch.

We just can't stop winning lads.

All switch games are free.

>yes tendies
Like clockwork, you have to be at least 23 to post here kiddo

Possibly the only redeemable thing Australia has ever done

>he says while getting filtered by anything other than mario
aie lumao

filtered

I don't own a switch, why do you even care if I get lost in a videogame how does that affect you

I enjoyed both but never finished Hollow Knight (filtered)

>THERE IS TOO MUCH CONTENT SO IT SUCKS
this is what metroidfags actually believe
lol

It's not, zoomers just have no concept of patience which is why everything is released asap, aka rushed and unfinished, to appease them nowadays

just because you like shoplifting doesnt mean price isnt still a very important part in judging a product's quality

>there is too much worthless content so it sucks
ftfy
90% of the bosses in hollow knight are complete dogshit with 3 attacks at most and the game would have been better if they had been removed entirely

I bet you only play Ubisoft games.

>(insert community here) is one person
Have you never heard of the phrase "too much of a good thing?" There's plenty of games that go on for hours and hours and hours on end even after they peak because "it adds content to the game! You're stupid if you think more content is a bad thing!!!" For the record, I do think that HK has a very good amount of content, especially with the DLCs, but I can also understand people not wanting to spend hours and hours on end playing more of a game they felt content with just finishing a normal playthrough

Stop praising that shit game, literally plays like an old flash game from newgrounds, it has floaty controls and the art style is disgustingly, not even my kid sister wanted it

Is your sister cute?

both indie devs too. Dread is a western game from Spain.
