As someone who suffered with a PSP for years, no fucking way. It's inadequate for console-like experiences because no second analog stick, and it lacks the portability, touchscreen and battery life of the DS for more mobile suited games. Even hardware issues aside it doesn't have the library to place it anywhere near S.

I took a vacation to my second home in Korea for 4 months last year. Due to government mandates I had to spend a lot of time at home with a very, very old laptop and an Xbox 360. That console is fucking shit. I can't believe I ever enjoyed it. Everything good on it is available on PC for cheaper and better. Literally no reason to have one.

That gen was both really good in places and the beginning of a 10 year lull we've only just climbed out of. It was the first and last time the new era was realized until indies stopped being shit a few years back.

This tierlist is so bad I have to assume it was bait to generate conversation.

Had one, it was okay but had too many ps2 ports and rehashed sequels. DS had a much more solid lineup even though it was dated as fuck on release and only got worse as time went on.

OG gameboy at S tier and GBC at A tier makes no sense, GBC was better in every single way.
Except for the fact you got an arm workout by playing on a device that used 4 fucking AA batteries I guess.

In terms of GBC exclusive or enhanced games, it didn't have much. Really small library and not much was iconic, sort of the N64 situation.

Only machines I've actually owned.

Yeah shittier spin offs of every Sony franchise except you can't control the camera. What fun. Look I like the PSP but the DS had a ludicrous number of hidden 10/10 gems, some of which still aren't available on any other platform. There's no comparison.

Thats funny as shit. Psp had a very underwhelming support that only looks good when compared to the vita. Nintendo DS is a beast catalogue-wise that plays on the same league as snes, ps1 and ps2.

NDS had very weak entries for existing series though bar some exceptional ones like castlevania and good mario games, psp had fantastic spinoffs and ports

I stand by my other decisions though, especially regarding GCN and OG Xbox as after couple of years PS2 literally dominated the era, nothing like that happened ever since, maybe PS4 during that brief interval between Wii-U and Switch

Not great not terrible. The worst offense is genesis that high, not even segafags rate it on the same level as the snes when we get our head out our ass and play the back catalog.

The best about nds was precisely all the non mario/zelda games that bloomed in the system. Its a bottomless pit of awesome gems like few others while the psp got watered down ps2 third party ports and okay spin offs for more popular franchises. It had some decent stuff but the nds hit the jackpot.

I also think NDS had a lot of good and quirky games and currently its the only emulator I have installed on my pc for example if that means anything, but having the power to play proper PS2 and some PS3 (LBPlanet) games on the go alone was a game changer for me along with gems like patapon and CV Dracula X, I guess it all depends on how much you value your experience with 00's western AAA games - something I really cherish

I remember everyone thinking the psp was going to destroy the nds before they launched because obviously the psp sounded insane techwise and looked sexy as fuck, while the nds was a very weird toy with just an appropriate increment in spec bump from the gba.

Then they were both out and the psp did not get any games for the longest time, and the graphics thing got old fast with the loading times becoming a problem. I remember being impressed at first with a prince of persia 2 low res/low fps port, but at the same time the loading screens made it almost unplayable.

The nds had a lot more confidence in what it was, and executed it a lot better, a lot more often.

Switch has more than earned it's place on S tier with it's idea and great catalogue. You can seethe about it.

And 3DS was the absolute culmination of portable gaming in terms of it's masssive and specifically crafted catalogue. As well as having a lot of Virtual Console offerings and backwards compatibility with the DS.
