Huge fan of the first xenoblade, hell I even like all the game in the xeno series (apart from xenosaga which i didn't play) but I gotta say i'm kinda bothered by some stuff.

The characters, the UI and the story feel to me like they can possibly hold this game back which is such a shame because I'm sure that the OST/concept art will be as usual top notch.
I got kinda excited when takahashi talked about wanting to make a r18 game but I guess he didn't go through it.
Don't get me wrong I'm sure it'll be fun to play but I think the series is getting very stale, this one looks to me like a big ass DLC and I wish they had the balls to switch directions.

I just feel like monolith soft is being held back.

Clearly having 6-7 active party members changes the flow of things.
The things we know for sure are:
>Arts now have proper status effects again
>Character outfits change when they change weapons
>There are "Ouroboros" attacks you can access during normal combat, maybe they're like Blade specials from XB2
>Specific pairs of party members seem to be able to fuse to become giant super character called an Ouroboros

Other small detail: During the Chain Attack splash screen, all the main characters' eyes light up but not Riku's.
So going with the "flickering clocks in our eyes" line from the first trailer, the Ouroboros capability seems to be held in the eyes
