No, they dont even have that many cards that would take advantage of grass even if it was legal.
Is mostly engines, mostly adventurer, destiny hero and artifact plus a lot of ghost lolis and other hand traps.

Yugi didn't ask for his opponents deck during the Battle City arc. He queued for battle, got a match, and won blindly. That's how Master Duel is meant to be played. You are not suppose to win all matches.

probably not check their entire deck but doing a dummy draw and revealing it to your opponent could be a good compromise
that way you can (usually) see what your opponent's deck is built around and side deck based on that

Its weird, makes your gameplay more varied since the increased pool of cards you get a lot more starters with diferent end board from weak to godlike
and if you hit grass you win the duel basically

Torrential Tribute might not be the best card for handling Synchron shit, but there's bothering quite like hitting every monster on the opponents field right after Junk Sneeder drags those Synchrons out of the Deck. A wave of euphoria washed over me when a guy scooped after that last night
