Where do I settle?

Where do I settle?

It can be worth it sometimes. He loses out on a quarry if he doesnt move. Could move onto the hill across the river

>spend one turn to get extra luxury and quarry

peabrain

You settle on the Exit to Desktop button and install Vox Populi

is this always the play?
which wonders are op btw? i wanna beat my friends

Based, you'll never look back.

cringe

Havent played civ5 in a while. Been meaning to reinstall and play that. Sounds like a whole new game essentially. Backlog is still too big though

you should settle right where you are, as the river and sea access is nice and losing a turn hurts
there may be a better spot over by the mountain, as that can get you a nice science bonus later on, but it would take a few turns to get there

I'll be honest famalam I played maybe 1 game of unmodded 5 so I would be challenged to make a proper comparison
I don't think it's that huge of an overhaul though, it still works mostly with the same system. Faith gives you a pantheon, then a religion, then you enhance, etc.

The only real brand new things are mostly fairly late game (Corporations, and honestly you can almost ignore them once you've founded one) or very inuitive (I got 5 luxury resources in the world out of 8, I get bonus)

repent

Boudicca's thighs

one turn of science and culture means nothing compared to losing that quarry and working the hill for free

It's often worth moving one turn but almost never any further than that. Moving so that you can plant your city on a hill is often good for getting more production and you can make up that one turn pretty quick. There's also city spacing concerns sometimes.

Cathy is just waiting for a strong manly conqueror to relieve her of the duties of a ruler.

>I don’t know how it’s better but it just is ok

you literally triple your early game production by settling on the hill across the river
this is extra important if you're in the middle of the rainforest
now i want to play

>coastal city
you didn't beat the game

>literally asking to be raped

what did catherine mean by this

Noone asked me to write an essay on how it's better, bro

rsc -> restart until you get 4 salt and 4 wheat resources by a river

River + Hill is always a good combo for me.
but its been like 1-2 years since i last played civ 5..

right here

Is civ6 good yet?
shit Mod btw.

Post the areola edit

well I certainly wouldn’t want to ask you to lie

>spawn next to a jungle tile
Bad spawn, reset.

Are you done arguing with things I haven't written yet?
Good to know Firaxis is giving their employees a break, in any case

yet implies you’d be able to, which I doubt

why is there 1 frame of Germany

"Yet" implies you're gonna stop arguing with your tulpa, which is clearly not happening due to your hellish reading comprehension

IS VOX POPULI BETTER THAN BASE GAME OR NOT? Discuss

I think so, and that opinion engages me and me only

Attached: ok hand habsburg.png (591x462, 193.54K)

Not only is it better, it's the only 4x I'd even define as a "game" instead of a "boredom simulator" because the AI is smart and actively plays to win instead of just running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

It's also perfectly balanced while allowing each civ to excel in theri own unique playstyle.

>tfw no 15.ai reconstruction of Leonard Nimoy for Civ 5 mod

on one hand mods are always kind of shit
on the other hand the base game is kind of shit

You can only settle once you hit 35yo and after trying more than 40 cocks.

I want to pinch the ear of all the people who greelit 6's voice acting for techs/civics
Dude is an actor and manages to deliver absolutely zero emotion in anything, even though the basedmen made 75% of the quotes into memes and pop culture

This is the answer I was waiting for. Thanks, will try it

go northwest one tile. hopefully it reveals another fish or pearls. it will also reveal if there's a mountain behind the cocoa tile

On site or one tile SE. Moving away from river may be worth using a crappy tile, and you may have something good in the fog and better use your land. Don't recall how good quarries are in 5, but it may be worth moving.

So how long until they nerf happiness again so we get -6 poverty in every city? No fucking fun allowed.

>start game
>have an absolute blast early game
>proceed to rape the brain-dead AI
>get bored and alt+F4
it's really hard to get friends together for this game

Take the Civ4 pill

is the AI somehow better in that game?

Never seen it.

Even it only changed the AI is would be better, it also adds loads of new mechanics and reworks old ones in a sensible way.

settle on the hill across the river or where you're at now

And the best tech tree ever. I swear every single technology gives you like 4 or 5 new things to play with, and every route offers a new style of gameplay with sacrificies and benefits.

Except Renaissance technologies that are all just dogshit.

It's hard to call it better, but they handle the game better for sure.
1UPT made 5's AI stupid where 4's could easily understand big stacks. In the same way, 6's AI is completely clueless with Builder Charges, while the AI in 4 couldn't really go wrong by just dispatching a lot of Workers everywhere until everything was improved

interesting zero production strategy

Terrain kinda looks like Flordia, so I encourage leaving to a more civilized place

One North of the tile adjacent to the river so you can build Ruhr valley + Venetian arsenal and

There could potentially be a coastline in the fog of war to the lower right so then you can't put a city there due to the 3 tile radius.

How do I get into these games? I've got Civ 4, but every time I start a game eventually the choices overwhelm me, I spend 20 minutes on 1 turn and get bored.
Are the newer games more accessible or is it just a marmite situation?

Alright faglords I'll start a game of vox populi deity random civ and no mulligans unless it's a desert+tundra combo or I spawn next to Monty. I fucking hate Monty.

>playing coop as Ayaka
>Ayato teammate
>we both using burst
>both screaming KAMISATO ART
>KINO
man should've recorded that

small bites. at lower difficulties you can just ignore certain mechanics. mind you that Civ 4 and 5 play a lot different

Faggot.
