Cats and birds are dirty and annoying. Dogs offer companionship and will provide a reason to socialize (take it to the park) especially with women. Take pride in your work. Move up the ladder. If you can't try and find a new career. This may not be easy, but start looking now. Getting right with God and living a spiritual life is not a waste of time. It also gives you an opportunity to help others and your community. You may not have more time, but you will start to enjoy the time you have.
