The intro segment of KH2 where you play as Roxas was so fucking good the entire rest of the game felt like a letdown.
really? it always felt long-winded to me
Oh ill show you something long-winded
*Farts up your nose*
The real kino part is when Sora tears up when he says goodbye to Roxas's friends but doesn't know why.
People can shit on KH all they want but the prologue of KH2 was kino
Roxas is so fucking floaty in kh2, i hate it.
Sora's story ended in KH2. They really should've just started a new triology with a new MC after this.
Kingdom Hearts peaked at KH2 in terms of gameplay and story. Every game after that just struggled to even come close. Why did they continue changing dev teams anyway? Why fuck with what isn't broken? If Nomura was going to be bullshit with the story from that point onward, we could have at least stayed with the original battle dev team and not have the gameplay shitted up.
Imagine if they had just kept Sora asleep from KH2 and all the games until 3, having Roxas be the protagonist. Even if KH3 was shit, it would've felt Kino having him wake up. Nobody gave much of a shit about Ventus (inferior Roxas) waking up.
But KH3 gameplay is the best. KH2 is old and aged not very well.
bait
>KH3 gameplay is the best
>endless rides appearing from just hitting enemies twice
Yeah, I guess you were one of the faggots they intended to enjoy those shitty features.
Bros how would you feel about KH is they stuck more closely to the concept art
KH2 gameplay aged amazingly. It aged way better than KH1s gameplay.
The final product was perfect, it's what they did with it post KH2 that fucked everything up. Nomura once said he connected with Xehanort more than any other character and started seeing Sora as an opposition to him, so that tells you all you need to know about why things went to shit. It perfectly explains why Xehanort kept coming back and STILL will after KH3.
the writing is so much better than the main game that it doesn't feel like the same team made it
>“I actually don’t sympathize or empathize with Sora at all,” Nomura says. Instead, he relates to the game’s mysterious villains, Xehanort or likely Ansem, anyone who’s fallen prey to their dark natures. “I think I’m closer to those characters, so Sora is like my enemy,” he says. “How I always think of him is I would unleash my attacks on him, and then I draw him in a way that I think he will be able to make a comeback at me. In that sense, I really think that Sora is just like an opposite personality character to who I am.”
What an absolute edgy faggot.
Tokyo team got drafted for versus after KH2 then because of engine changes and the project getting jerked around bit by bit the core team members left square.
name them
who left square and where are they?
people always parrot this shit with no evidence but "eh, sounds right to me"
>>“I actually don’t sympathize or empathize with Sora at all,” Nomura says. Nomura-sama... I fucking kneel...
Did they finally do the Sora, Riku and Kairi team up in 3 or will that never happen?
nomura let sora and kairi be a team in the dlc xehanigger fight

Honestly, the problem with Kingdom Heart was that it was trying way too hard with all this build up, only for it to fall flat on its own face. Nomura kept making a bunch of game for the lore and history of Kingdom Heart, that when it was finally for it to end, it was rush as shit and nothing about it felt satisfying. 13 years too long. He fucked it up badly
Yozora
>Shotlock
>Flowmotion + wall running
>Keyblade transformation and unique abilities
>Links
>All moves from kh2 + bbs + ddd but better and polish
You must be beyond retard to to argue with objective things.
>Make dual weeld Sora
>Kill him off inn the prologue
I mean I know why he exists. But from a marketing standpoint why have a silly mystery plot that takes up so much time only for Yen Shit to just tell you what a Nobody is right afterwards?
No wonder kingdom heart fags keep coming back for more!
Keep up the fragrance my friend!
Holy shit leaked KH4 dialogue
Hiroshi Harata: Main Programmer, removed from the team and works mostly on porting old games now
Takayuki Ohdachi: Art Director, got sniped to do BG art for XIV and did the menu icons for the legend of mana HD
Mitsunori Takahashi: Lead Battle Planner, Did some work on Dissidia left. Apparently Directed a movie called Ai wo katareba hentai desuka and came back to do prototype design for the FF7 Remake.
Yuichi Kanemori: Planning Director, got sniped for FF13 and is the battle director for Pokemon Masters
Basically everyone who was a part of the team got eaten by other projects or eventually left.
No one cares about kingdom hearts anymore
Everyone wants to play Miyazaki’s games now.
Sakurai seethes at this because he made an attempt to shit on fromfags with Sora’s trailer only for that energy to bite him back in the ass later
Makes no sense why we never got duel wield again too, and I'm not counting limit/drive forms. It's fucking weird how sparringly they allowed duel weilding to be used as a normal moveset. In KH2 we ONLY get it in one fight during the prologue. In KH 358/2 we only get it in the final mission, which is amazing. You can unlock it by doing tons of shit in that game as well, but it's for some reason nerfed to being useless when you do. Duel Wield Roxas in 358/2 outside of the final mission only does 1 pixel of damage per hit. Why the fuck was that choice even made? A PIXEL?
>get into combat
>press one button
>5 mins of particle effects across the entire screen
>you cant see shit
>enemies all gone afterwards
sounds fun
I think KH3 data fights are some of the best gameplay segments in the series, but cmon now
>mitsunori takahashi
only important guy there
battle planning is big shit
hopefully they can bring him back as a consultant for major bosses
>People enjoyed 358/2's mission modes and wished they could do them with online play
>People enjoyed Mirage Arena a lot and wished the same thing
>KH3 has neither of these modes
Okay, but why though?
>press one button
>5 mins of particle effects across the entire screen
>you cant see shit
You fuckers pretend like kh1/2 aren't exactly the same. (But there are no beautiful effects) I recently replayed all kh games.
Bbs and especially days sucked balls bro.
>endless rides appearing from just hitting enemies twice
>not turning off Attractions
Here's what Tokyo Team user said:
>I recall some namefag saying that Nomura's slowly reassembling his KH2FM A-team from Tokyo, putting them on lead roles for pet projects showing that they're being prepared ultimately bigger plans. Tokyo Team user here BTW.
>Kyohei Suzuki, Mitsunori Takahashi, Nobuyuki Matsuoka, Junichi Oka, and Masanori Sato were all working on VIIR together at one point and then Suzuki worked on ReMIND and NEO with their other old friend Tatsuya Kandou, then you have Takahashi working on ReMIND too. And then there's Matsuoka who was assigned to work on combat for The First Soldier of all things.
>But what's also interesting is that Nomura tapped on Mizuki Ito who was never on the Tokyo Team in any fashion to work on VIIR. He was with the FFXI team (part of CBU3) and the game's fifth director until 2016 when he said that he was moving on to other projects. But he worked with Yuji Abe and Daisuke Sase, two Tokyo Team veterans on Flame X Blaze and FFXI respectively also on combat systems.
>This brings me to my next point. Takeshi Endou who worked on Versus before being one of the higher-up quest designers for FFXIV was never seen again after ARR, and then he was succeeded by Takashi Kudo, another Tokyo Team member who worked on it up to Shadowbringers, along with underling Ryo Tsurumaki who was a higher-up event planner on KH2FM. There's also Takayuki Ohdachi and Shuichi Sato were both artists on Versus and XIV and are still members of CBU3 and of course Jun Akiyama, who is likely working on XVI in the same capacity as he did on Versus, XIV, and WoFF.
>And this is to say nothing of the other Tokyo Team members who moved to Osaka, or how many of them stayed with the XIII team along with Abe and Matsuoka, or even how Marluxia's Nobody type is EW's DPS Job as someone said in an older thread.
Pic is a list of the real guys who left the KH2FM/Versus team.
>Nomura personally visualized and possibly even practiced every single attack that Xehanort and Ansem use against Sora
N-Nomura-sama, please... I'll kneel, I'LL KNEEL PLEASE DON'T HURT MEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Attractions are the only bad thing I hear about the combat system. But obviously it was made for newcomers
Attractions are very fun to use at first btw.
More expressive characters would be very good. But hard to do in 3d, especially with ps2 limitations. And after that we're mostly stuck with what KH1 established.
> “I think I’m closer to those characters, so Sora is like my enemy,” he says. “How I always think of him is I would unleash my attacks on him, and then I draw him in a way that I think he will be able to make a comeback at me.
Get this man to a mental ward
>create a better character than Sora
>he is a plot device who has to disappear
As if there wasn't enough evidence that Nomura is a hack. I'd pay him money to stop making more Kingdom Hearts, it's a whole new level of embarrassing at this point.
>who has to disappear
But they brought Roxas back.
What's left of Nomura's A-team v

>7R's team is the FF13 team which had several Tokyo Team members groomed for Versus.
>14's team has Tokyo Team members working in a non-combat capacity like making quests and cutscenes.
>15's team has the rest but most of them are mixed with Type-0's team.
More TTA findings. If you go through the credits, 'FF11 buddies' are no joke. Quite a few in the battle team.
>that one proto-soldier completely unscathed, looking around bewildered
CUTE
If Nomura ever sees Tabata again in the flesh, he's going to scream "COME GUARDIAN" and then Naoki Hamaguchi is going to spawn from his back and kill Tabata.
this
Nomura has gone on record to say that he likes working with original development teams and struggled and fought to bring back the right Twewy guys for Neo and even re-assembled the Einhander team for KH3 gummi.
What are the chances he's fighting to bring back most of these people to Square right now?
Best part about KH2 is the insane progression of power.
You start the game as such a weak bitch but by the end you're a fucking combat master.
>brought back 14 years later after teasing in Coded and DDD only to be sidelined by KHUX garbage
Might as well have not bothered to.
SORA
DONALD
GOOFY
Tokyo Team user didn't catch that Shiokawa left Delightworks a month ago to make his own studio to make his own RPG, so he likely won't be brought back (and probably made mad dough with FGO. He's probably on better terms with Nomura than Hasegawa for sure. Chances are 0.
Kanbayashi and Tanaka seem unlikely to be brought back though since they're in comfortable AA-tier spots, especially Kanbayashi now that he's on the Atelier series. Chances for these guys are less than 5%.
Arakawa's in the same boat as Kanbayashi, Tanaka and Shiokawa, since GungHo put him on Ninjala. So is Kanemori on Masters. But if I were Nomura, I'd poach them both because of how integral they are to KH2 (and Arakawa on Dissidia). If Tokyo Team user is correct then if Nomura was able to get Oka back after he did bosses for a whole slew of Platinum Games titles I don't see why he can't fight to have his battle director and OG Dissidia director on his team (apart from of course money). Chances for these guys are 10 to 15%.
There are still unknowns but that depends on if MobyGames is even accurate. These guys are also worth poaching.
>Daisuke Sase, battle planner last seen making Ultima Weapon Ultimate (I lost my sauce) for XIV
MobyGames says he's at Konami.
>Takayoshi Nakazato, game design director for Versus and project manager for XV
He's likely still at Square.
>Takeshi Endo, map planning director for Versus/KH2
MobyGames says he's at SEGA.
Is it just me or is the 5 hour long GBA card game disproportionately important to the entire series? Like half of the plot to KH was either set up or built off what happens in COM.
Epic Mickey world whhen
they were working on FF Versus XIII but then FFXIV 1.0 bombed so hard it fucked the whole company
you're clueless mate, pay more attention. KH3 definitely has some things that are improvements over 2 like being able to block mid air, fast reprisals, animation canceling and stuff but KH2FM is overall much better gameplay wise
