Now that it’s actually happening. What do you want to see?
I want an open world Bloodborne in the vein of Elden Ring. A new Sekiro since From (now Sony) own that IP.
Be mad if you will but it’s undeniable that From’s best games have been collaborative efforts with SIE. Most of these games fans are PlayStation gamers anyway so it’s no big loss. This is a good thing.
I’m pretty sure they can’t afford them, if they could they wouldn’t have gotten fucking Bluepoint to remake DS
Xavier Campbell
Will they change the name to From Sony?
Ryan Brown
Read the other tweets dumbass.
Nicholas Richardson
I don’t care for these games (too hard) but it’s a good move for PS and yet another feather in Sonys cap. Feels good to be the market leader.
Cameron Anderson
Also Bloodborne flopped and Elden Ring sold worst on PS5
Connor Hall
Should have done it when they were still making good games. But I guess generic open world garbage suits modern Sony too well.
Jose Scott
The whole point of making Bluepoint do it was GRAFICS.
Sony buying Kadokawa makes sense after also buying up Crunchyroll and just turning into an anime powerhouse from also owning Aniplex and a bunch of IPs. Kadokawa just comes with the benefit of FROM too.
I'm pretty sure they knew it was going to flop anyway and the whole point of remakes/remasters is hiring talentless jeets to do it on the cheap
Cameron Ross
Sony just got fleeced by Bungie and can't even afford to foot the bill to make PS5s to support demand, which are also sold at a loss. Horizon Western Shrek also just got fucking steam rolled by Elden Ring, and Morbius tanked at the box office. The only thing they're going to be buying is the forms to file for massive loans to get back in the black.
Landon Edwards
miyazaki out of ideas, cashing in now
Chase Nguyen
Not happening after Elden Ring's success. They'll make more money than Sony can offer them.
Liam Gray
As someone who doesn’t enjoy souls game this is great news. Sony will absolutely destroy this company and make it start releasing games that are exactly the opposite of what people actually want. If this is the case then souls games will be dead in 5 years.
Elijah Ortiz
>Sony buying Kadokawa makes sense Kadokawa is worth more than Sony
Daniel Murphy
It sold worse on Xbox you lying faggot.
Adrian Diaz
Except SIE is managed by Sony's american branch and they don't give a shit about some random Japanese media companies that won't make money outside of Japan. SIE isn't Japanese anymore.
Elijah Morales
>Third thread today >Same twitter literal who Making more threads is not going to make this a reality, snoy.
Tyler Hughes
why acquire? just buy the exclusivity
Christian Walker
They spent billions acquiring Funimation and Crunchyroll, dumbass, they wouldn't have done that if they weren't interested in Japanese media.
Jackson Cooper
wrong
Jonathan Mitchell
It didn't flop, it sold in 6 months what DS2 sold in a year on all platforms.
Michael Rodriguez
Sony is nothing without From But From is fine without Sony
>is a candidate for acquisition Kadokawa is not only not going to sell FromSoft (one of their most lucrative subsidiaries) but also won't itself be able to be acquired due to how many different industries they're in that sony would have to inherit. Beyond that, Kadokawa ITSELF is owned by many other companies, including Kakao, Tencent and nintendo themselves. Sony isn't going to be able to touch FromSoft lest they make an offer WAY above what they could even afford
John Powell
That's not true either. But Sony wouldn't want to spend what's remaining in their coffers to acquire an entire holding company from several other stakeholders just for ONE subsidiary.
Evan James
Holy shit
Luke Ward
Sony doesn't give a shit about buying fromsoft, they release games on the playstation consoles anyways, like 50% of elden ring sales were on playstations. That means that sony is now making more money from Elden Ring than they did with bloodborne.
Jack Reed
Bloodborne II and Bloodborne HD remaster. Maybe a game with King Arthur or something.
Caleb Foster
Sony will be public enemy #1 in the gaming sphere if they do this
Lucas Hill
Great, now they'll never make a good game ever again after not making one for the past decade.
Jace Davis
Dear Sony,
I'm not buying a Piss5 no matter what games you put on it. Cope.
Bloodborne had disappointing saies and is widely regarded as one of the games ever made. Why would it get a sequel?
Daniel Brown
based af
Christopher Morris
Capcom is not for sale.
Jayden Smith
From owns the IP
Leo Brooks
>widely regarded as one of the games ever made It's true, its definitely a game that was made, I can't argue against that.
Gabriel Powell
AC and Sekiro are the only IPs From even owns on that splash.
Jackson Nelson
ikr... snoyggers are just pathetic
Isaac Morris
How new are you
Daniel Fisher
They spent billions on two american companies to corner the north american anime market. What the fuck is SIE going to do with Japan-only post production or light novel publishing company
Juan Reed
>Sony has never won kek
Ian Mitchell
The only thing sony wants are japanese based developers that sell copies in the west (or western developers that sell in the west like Bungie)
Capcom just raised all salaries by 30% which is the incentive for talent to stay at the company, sony is acquiring them by next month.
Square Enix will not be acquired because they are dependent on selling games on Playstation
Fromsoft is owned by Kadokawa and would be ridiculously expensive and not profitable, the games already sell 50% of their copies on Playstation, and no one knows how long Fromsoft will be hot, it would be more practical to do an exclusivity deal again similar to Bloodborne for a single game.
Jose Robinson
Suddenly I hate fromsoft now
Benjamin Phillips
exclusivity has been a disaster for the gaming industry
Jayden Rivera
>Capcom just raised all salaries by 30% which is the incentive for talent to stay at the company, sony is acquiring them by next month. People have been saying this for two years now.
