Be mad if you will but it’s undeniable that From’s best games have been collaborative efforts with SIE. Most of these games fans are PlayStation gamers anyway so it’s no big loss. This is a good thing.

Sony buying Kadokawa makes sense after also buying up Crunchyroll and just turning into an anime powerhouse from also owning Aniplex and a bunch of IPs. Kadokawa just comes with the benefit of FROM too.

Kadokawa is not only not going to sell FromSoft (one of their most lucrative subsidiaries) but also won't itself be able to be acquired due to how many different industries they're in that sony would have to inherit.
Beyond that, Kadokawa ITSELF is owned by many other companies, including Kakao, Tencent and nintendo themselves.

Fromsoft is owned by Kadokawa and would be ridiculously expensive and not profitable, the games already sell 50% of their copies on Playstation, and no one knows how long Fromsoft will be hot, it would be more practical to do an exclusivity deal again similar to Bloodborne for a single game.
