at least the xbone had a port of halo 2, a game.

First of all, Wii u and switch aren't from the same generation

why not

>gaylo

Tried to come up with a rebuttal against this but I really can't, just exceptions to the general trend of disappointment throughout the 8th gen.

8th gen has been the worst by overall quality but i think its important to mix in the gems. the wii u had one game that i thought was worth playing and it is the best couch co op game ever made, Nintendoland. My favorite mode was Metroid Blast, but Luigi's Mansion minigame was great too. Really great game, if you have a Wii U or can find one somewhere and have friends/family to play with you are doing yourself a disservice not playing it.

No, you're thinking of 9th Gen (NS, PS5, and XSXS).

>>wii u: no games
>>switch: ports of no games
I still play mk 8 occasionally on my switch though, also my ps4 is a p5r machine

its just a continuation of the trend gen 8 started

true op, unfortunately I can't see this getting any better with the current gen. Only thing I'd rebuttal with is BOTW and Splatoon 1/2 which I enjoyed

>ps4: bloodborne machine
It has Persona 5 and Gravity Rush 2.
>wii u: no games
Xenoblade X
>switch: ports of no games
Fire Emblem, Astral Chain, Triangle Strategy, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Xenoblade 2, SMTV, and upcoming games like Xenoblade 3 and the Live-A-Live Remake.

Yeah they are.

>persona 5
ps3 game
>gravity rush 2
sequel to a vita game no one remembers
>xenoblade X
forgettable
>all those switch games
better on the pc

shitch doesn't belong to that gen

I own a PS4 and I never played Bloodborne on it, ever
Then I got a PS5 so I got BB for free and tried it for an hour. Didn't like it at all.

Wii U > PS4/Xbone
However the Switch is 9th gen.

Your opinion is noted

Launched closer to PS4 and Xbox than PS5 and SeX

Only the xbox was shit.

If there are NO games on the switch that interest you, I don’t even know what three hell you would be into. Civilization Building Games? R rated visual novels?

3DS/Wii U were literally the only things with new and interesting games. Everything on PS4 was basically on Vita and PS3 and everything ok Xbone was on PC. Some weird ass delusion people have that we somehow got new games on those consoles.

No matter how much you bitch and moan, Switch is a 9th gen and is dabbing on the other 9th gen consoles.

3DS is a safe sterile system lmao

Doesn't matter where it gets placed because it will demolish everything

>The worst console generation ever
You sure?

Being a Nintenchad has never felt comfier

pong is fun
yes, why own a switch when you can play it better for free on a pc

Animal Crossing before they ruined it
Bravely Default before they ruined it
A ClaDun/Legasista-like game
Dokapon Kingdom (albeit there is an untranslated Utawarerumono version)
A co-op Legend of Zelda game
Mario Party before they ruined it
Pokemon before they ruined it
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon before they ruined it
Splatoon before they ruined it
A Xeno game with playable mecha

>Live-A-Live Remake
Reading that shit still feels foreign, but great all the same.
Comfy times ahead.

FACT: I own two Wii U's and that alone makes me automatically superior to a dumb virgin like you

>why own a switch when you can play it better for free on a pc
Multiplayer games

you are still emulating a switch, is every console generation before the ps4 ">no games" aswell now (aside from like the ps vita) because you can emulate those consoles?

>Safe and sterile
>Glasses free 3D
>Gyroscope and accelerometers
>Touch screen
>3D camera

Lmao retard.

It's the first console of the 9th Gen.
Correct.

I'm convinced these threads are traps for people to list games they enjoyed so someone else can go "no, those are bad."

>you are still emulating a switch
This logic is too much for those like that user to understand. The problem with PC gaming is that there's no PC games to play, so they end up emulating the older console games. It's amazing how PS2, Gamecube, NES, Genesis, Wii, original PSOne, Switch, and other consoles that run OK on PC emulators are somehow not good when that's all modern PC gamers have to play (other than current console multiplats which were built with the console in mind anyway).

Last console of 8th gen. It replaced an 8th gen console.

Yes. An 8th gen console was replaced by its 9th gen successor. Glad we could clear that up.

Successor implies a fully normal product cycle. Switch isn't 9th gen, and if it were, if Switch failed as well then the following Nintendo console wouldn't be 10th gen. That's retard level understanding of how gens work.

get rid of consoles all together. We should improve streaming or PC. Consoles are for people who are too stupid to buy a good pc.

Keep telling yourself that. Maybe you'll believe it.

I do believe it because I'm right. You're not exactly wrong either. If switch lasts long enough on the market it will be considered 9th gen as well.

>Le contrarian zoomie

>gimmick
>ok I guess but eh
>woopty do
>gimmick
I was talking about its mediocre overrated library retard its a soulless pos

9th gen started in Fall 2020. The Switch came out in early 2017. 8th gen.

7th gen > 8th but unironically.

the difference is that this is the first time you can emulate a console and run its games better while the console is still very much alive

>PS4
>solid 1080p30 machine purchased for $400 in 2013 and still delivering that in 2022
It's for people who just want to play some games.

>540p upscaled to 1080p that runs at 20 fps

Why would you want to play console games on your PC?

because you can play it in higher resolution and at more than 30 fps

Except of course any multiplayer games which make up over half of Switch first party titles. This is where you say "those don't count"

>this much cope
Elden Ring runs at native 1080p30 very stable with no stutters.

Switch games are 1080p 60fps

>nintendo online services
lmao, lol

Case in point

But it's' still the same console game built and designed for a console right down to the UI and overall experience. Why not play actual PC games on the PC?

Not that stable, I get noticeable frame drops when there is fog or rain

>actual PC games
All PC has left is indeed due to unchecked piracy

The 9th gen started in March 2017 with the release of the Switch. This is not up for debate. This is how this has always worked. Gens are not power based.

The DS was 7th gen, it's successor was the 3DS (8th gen), and it's successor was the Switch (9th gen). Nintendo does not have a 9th gen home console offering, as the Switch is not a console, but a handheld. Hope that clears things up for you.

who said you can't?

Finally someone who can answer this question. What are good PC (not console port to PC) games to play if I'm looking to move over from console?

that depends heavily on what kind of games you like. the games that made me switch was cs and quake live.
what are some of your favorite genres?

>as the Switch is not a console, but a handheld. Hope that clears things up for you.
It would help if you didn't end your posts with blatant lies. Switch is a hybrid console. This means it's a handheld console and a home console.

Also switch is 8th gen. "Successors" never mattered or else Sega would have upped the gen count 8 times in the 90s.
