problem is despite the game being 6 dollars it also has expansions and microtransactions and a subscription for convenience options
and i already play guild wars 2 with has all of that except the subscription
if i'm gonna play another wow clone i might as well stick to the game i'm already playing

not to shill it too much but i went mmo shopping in like 2018 and gw2 was the most impressive one i played
then again some of the other ones i tried went completely out of business so take that with a grain of salt
for the most part its a wow clone with very little in the way of time wasters
theres a couple long grinds but for the most part you can just play casually and build once and you're done
there are some utility microtransactions like bank space but for the most part the game is easy to pick up and put down
just got off a year long hiatus and my reaper is still just as usable as the day i made it

I have and it's dogshit. Wake me when they remove the level scaling, rework the combat and make it so it can handle large scale PvP fights.

With every level up my gear just gets weaker, so most of the time when I lvl up I become weaker.

i played it last summer without subscribing. i just got the version that had all the expansions (at the time) and it played like any other elder scrolls game only from time to time you see other people walking around and trading, not sure why this game is labeled a a mmo when it felt more like a single player game with optional co-op.

Is the combat still floaty? And do I still need to do weird animation cancelling to be somewhat effective

played this during a free weekend some years back with my mate. It was immediately a shitty feeling experience the moment you can move as you start in morrowind, with a floaty and lacking gameplay experience that comes off as a shitty chinese version of Skyfall.
We proceeded to kill some shitty mobs in a cave further down from seyda neen, got shit loot and performed a hammering emote on each others cocks before uninstalling. Very lacking MMO, very sad many such cases

been levelling other characters and just enjoying running world bosses, chatting with guildies, learning triple trouble and playing the expansions
legit never beat heart of thorns or even started end of dragons and just been dicking around filling out small stuff

they did just give out oblivion on gog though so i snagged that for free. kinda wanna see what gog's done to the game since vanilla oblivion has a lot of trouble running on new computers.

I got a key for the closed beta and played it. It was a generic third person MMO without a single thing that wasn't mediocre. I never played it when it went live, and I probably never will.
