what the fuck even is it
i try to rush castle sol and i just fucking jumped by giant birds and skeletons and shit
Unironically the rats
They can legit fuck you up if you're not careful this time round
watchdog
time wasn't kind to him it seems
These lads. It’s a simple design, but the lidless staring eyes and open mouth makes me nervous just looking at them.
I like Night's Cavalry because they have kino armor and great music.
servants of mystery outer god #8
Deathbirds? Pretty lame.
Now Death RITE Birds, those are great.
Reddit-tier enemy design.
The autismonaurics are just the right amount of weird and cool
Honestly, this is the best post in this thread.
Black Knife assassins, because their OST transcends kino
crucibles are cool
Crucible Knights
ulcerated tree spirits, unironically
he always gave me dolf vibes
>comb the absolute shit out of the game first playthrough
>get every achievement except the other 2 endings because dont want to save scum
>start a new playthrough
>run into one of these in fucking Limgrave
Damn I mean I know it’s as simple as I never went to that spot at night but being surprised after putting 160 hours into my first playthrough is kind of crazy. Also
>finish first playthrough
>kind of burnt out not crazy about some of the endgame shit
>start a new playthrough planning on going faster
>end up exploring all of Limgrave again
>go through Weeping Peninsula
The first 70% of this game is just so good even after beating the shit out of it and feeling burnt out I’m having a blast going dex and using the flail I want to keep this character around 30 for Stormveil invasions but I also want to go all the way to Leyndell and Nokstella again damn
what does this even mean
>it's another "slap the enemies legs for five minutes until it dies" fight
>you fight it 7 times
Would have been fine once, but nope Miyazaki wants you to fight it 7 fucking times.
not really my favorite, but the loud and chunky sound of pic related when they start walking toward you is so fucking evil and menacing.
Its a tie between the Ancestor Spirit and the Giant Skeletons that the boat popes spawn up for their fights.
>Miyazaki wants you to fight it 7 fucking times
you know you can just not fight it
the chances of even running into 7 deathbirds is low as most only appear at night
remember when Yea Forums saw these for the first time and had an autistic shitfit over it being bad animation and that the game was fucking broken and done for? good times
Fallingstar beasts.
The magma wyvern or whatever they're called.
>the boys out for a night of thot patrolling
first time I ever saw one was the one on the way to Castle Sol. That thing kept 2 shotting me. Must have taken me 40 attempts.
I like those goofy T-rex dogs
yeah
these guys are a blast to fight along with Crucible Knights
I wanted to fight the mentioned doubled headed bird god. I also wanted to enter the arena, I wanted the mentioned water sword used to defeat a fallen god. Stop mentioning cool shit I can't do, acquire or see Fromsoftware.
I've been grinding that area right next to the bridge to Redmane Castle for a while just because it's so fun to jump into the chaotic battle between radahn's soldiers and the dogrexes
I don't need the runes I just like doing it
youtu.be
FUCK death birds
I only now notice the undead/ghost beings in its wings. That's cool.
what happened here did it fall off the cliff?
I love these guys so much.
>Decide to try and do coop last night for fun
>Every host needs help with this damn bird
>The only successful run is one where the bird was already at half HP from presumably another pair of summons who died without the host dying
Fuck this bird
These guys are really fun to fight. The perfect mix of strength and int.
Yes.
all the perfume pyromancies or whatever they're called are so nice to look at
really beautiful magic
I enjoy fighting everything with this absolutely god-tier weapon
The mountain of the giants really is just a weak area, no wonder it wasn’t in any of the promo material.
Based str/fth chad.
Although I prefer a good ol bonking with this thing
>Yea Forums saw these for the first time and had an autistic shitfit
this Yea Forums guy sounds like an asshole. Thank god we aren't all him
Yeah I wasn't sure which way I was going with my build when I started, then I got the golden halberd from Tree Sentinel and decided alright, STR/FTH, why not?
I used a regular upgraded halberd until I had the 30STR to wield it, expecting to be disappointed ultimately
I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. Holy SHIT the damage that thing chunks out.
Some of the, have collars. It’s that extra detail that elevates an already striking design.
I got a bug in my head, mantis blades, can teleport, and no one knows what I am
Fuck this enemy in the snowfield, he filtered me for quite a bit on my first playthrough.
His aoe move is such bullshit. It's impossible to know where it's aiming and it goes out like 1 mile away from him and stagger kills you
Oh they make you nervous? God you're a pussy.
The boys.
Watchdogs!
>tfw fighting one while bombarded by the mausoleum
>A curved sword with a blade at both ends wielded by the Cemetery Shades, the insect-ridden grave keepers.
Did I miss a dungeon? I only ever found the boss one (or two?) and once I found a single one in a heroes grave. I feel like these guys were made to be regular enemies even when you first encounter them?
Any enemy I can use Inescapable Frenzy on is my favorite enemy.
Not sure about my favourite but I know my least favourite. The Albinauric archers mounted and on foot. Probably a skill issue but I get reamed by these fuckers every time without fail.
>meleefag
You get what you fucking deserve
Melania and Marika but i was way too OP (lvl 175ish) by the time i fought them because i did all the caves.
Radahn was also cool, but too difficult for me at the time. Godrick was perfectly balanced, but just too generic.
The rest are not memorable at all. Except for elden beast, but it was a crappy fight.
This guy, easily my favorite hidden boss, game would of been an easy 10/10 if this guy took a front seat in the story and was even perhaps the final boss
What level were you when you beat Radahn?
i'm like level 70 and I feel like I do enough damage to kill him, but can't really handle getting hit even once
I can get him down to like 25% health if I'm lucky
great OST too
I have no clue it was like 50-60 hours of in-game gameplay time ago. But yeah I also have gotten one-shotted by him, especially with his jumping attacks. In fact Radahn took me the most retries out of any boss.
Just stay back, let the summons do the work and poke with a horse.
>Melania
>Radahn
>Godrick
nice "miniboss"
>Marika
how do you fight Marika in this game??
>The rest are not memorable at all.
the final nail in the shit taste coffin
there's an aesthetic to Souls, this idea of taking japanese myths and folklore like ancient stone dragons and living pottery, and converting them into a form of "what if this myth came from the west?"
I like it, and I'd like to see the opposite as well, eastern fantasty presented in a western format (not AAA western dev you understand, but a western fantasy mindset)
>would of
