I have a tradition of buying every expansion at launch, going through the content, trying the first (probably shitty) raid, then dropping the game until the next expansion while calling the latest expansion shit. I could stop at any time, but who am I to mess with tradition?

I gave them money for a few months to check out the handful of expansions I hadn't played before, because I hadn't played consistently since Cataclysm. It was interesting at first but a fucking nightmare to try and keep track of. The old system required leveling through expansions in order, but there's no order anymore, which is nice for leveling alts but impossible to keep track of without looking it up online.

I hope they go all out with the SJW stuff so that more people will leave

The most solid intel I've heard is that it's going to be called Dragonflight and revolve around the dragon islands. More suspect leaks include such things as dragonkin race, evoker class, and a return of actual talent in depth talent trees (though only 2 per class).

Shoulda been there in MoP,last good expansion imo, and had by far the best reputation ever with the Landfall factions (the horde and alliance ones in krasarang),so many quests for story progression, new story quests oppped up so often due to reputation unlocks, sometimes two parts in just one day.
The worst part about MoP was the story, if you ask me, specifically the part where they turned the best warchief into a villain. The rest was kino, they even introduced us to one of the most badass villains ever during one patch, The Thunder King goes to show that, at least then, they were capable of just creating fresh lore just like that, and it'd still be on the same level of Warcraft RTS stuff.
And then after MoP blizzard just went to shit completely.

TBC is trash. It's classic without the soul. Outland sucks, the zones sucks, and it takes everyone out of Azeroth.

I don't know how you can even compare the catch up mechanics between the two. In FFXIV even if you haven't touched the game in several patches you can be ready for the hardest content in a day, instantly if you buy the crafted gear. And there is no borrowed power mechanic holding you back.

TBC was the expansion that introduced literally everything that eventually ruined WoW. It's objectively the worst expansion ever because it set the direction for all the future expansions.

Legion was bad because they made Sylvanas Warchief and destroyed one of the biggest evil factions in a single fucking expansion.
Also bringing back illidan when he was already dead, it was a mistake ti kill him the way he died in tbc but returning him was not good either.

Auto-LFG was in Wrath, TBC had a group finder but it wasn't automatic IIRC

TBC introduced a lot of bullshit like making the entire old world obsolete the moment it was relesaed, flying mounts, making arenas the sole focus of PVP, daily quests, and just making the game more raidlogging-oriented in general. But at least it and Wrath were still playable, which is more than I can say about everything they made after that
