>3600 of the same image causes burn in
Thats not actually bad.
bro your cell phone is probably just as susceptible
ok but what if im not an idiot that leaves the screen on one image for hours
I usually play 2-3 games at a time anyways
Pretty sure that it can be reversed
Worst that can happen with regular use is you get some barely noticeable darker patches you'll only see if you're looking for them in dark scenery
Why would I buy an inferior model? My switch is jiggable.
That's longer than it takes for the joycons to start drifting.
>DO NOT buy a Switch
ftfy
>modern computer/device screen susceptible to burn-in
ok and?
Based. Meanwhile my PS4 is still working after nearly 10 years lol.
Ok, I won't buy the OLED. But where can I get those snazzy joycons?
A single image the entire time.
I think I saw this video, wasn't this thumbnail a bit clickbaity and the actual burn in wasn't very noticible?
It doesn't matter how much burn in there is even a slight amount your screen is ruined if Sony made the Switch it would not be having these quality issues see: Dualshock 4 versus Joycon
"You remember that one time I accidentally left my Switch on for 150 days straight, and the image got burned into the screen? Boy, do I ever feel stupid for buying that thing"
you just go into the option menu and press a button to reverse it.
I'm not buying a switch until it can play a game like Daemon x Machina without slowdown. That shit ran so poorly on switch that it nearly killed the PC multiplayer scene right off the bat and it was really fun for what it was.
oh yeah? well, i'm sure it's quite easy to keep a console working for a decade when you have no games to play on it.
I play all of my games on it and I use it every day for Netflix. Have fun not playing Bloodborne, Nioh 2, TLOU2, Elden Ring, and other new, exciting games that the Nintendo Bitch simply isn't powerful enough to run.
>Dualshock 4 versus Joycon
the DS4 also gets a drift you insufferable nigger, any controller does over time
i guarantee that you had to replace the HDD, mine crapped out at year 6
>if Sony
go ahead, google search "psvita burn in", you won't.
Any OLED will have burn out. Each sub pixel has a certain amount of runtime before they dim. 150 straight days of a single image is pretty good figuring that Nintendo's claim of 9hr battery life would push it to 400 days. Your cellphone will start showing burn out in about a year as well if you look at the notification area
I have a Vita 1000 and while I don't have burn in, I have a bunch of black splotches you can see when the screen is displaying a dark image.
call nintendo bad, and the snoy applauds you.
rip on sony as well, and the snoy, in blind rage, mistakes you for a nintendo fanboy.
this is the mind of a snoy.

OLED burn-in is a meme.
Theres not a single scenario where it can happen unless you force it to happen.
...
Yes because I am totally going to leave Switch running in a setup where I know it won't dim the screen and leave it running for 5 months straight on the exact same screen only for minimal burn in
that's the hori split pad pro, i bought one recently and it feels great in the hands, literally caused me to use my switch way more again. no rumble or motion controls though.
>didn't include a link to the video this time, because it'd be obvious how ridiculous this post is
>3600 hours of the same picture
So two months, that's basically nothing
So you're telling me I'd have to play 4 more years of GU non stop for my screen to fuck up
lmao
That's suppose to happen with the OLED. Please love your Vita.
>OLED phones
what is this, 2017?
>owns a switch
>believes he's not an idiot

...yes?
The biggest meme plaguing consumers is the belief that the things they buy will last them forever. This isn't the 50's anymore, nothing is built to last.
Nothing was built to last then either. They just didn't have companies throwing shit fits when people opened repair shops.
heres the damage from being left on the exact same screen for 3600 hours
not the clickbait thumbnail

I'd feel saver driving around in an old cadilac than in a modern Toyota that crumples like a tin can. Old vehicles and appliances had less cut corners and were more durable by default.
I've had an LG C6 OLED since 2016 and I love it. I'll never go back to backlit screens.
imagine how mad this guy was to have arranged to leave his switch on for this amount of time, only to get such a weak result
unironically looks like my Samsung note 8s screen
Old cars were terrible
youtube.com
Wow, it's fucking nothing. The results actually make the Oled switch an even more compelling buy, but Nintendo has never been consistent with how they source their screens for their handhelds, so that guy might have gotten lucky with the screen. The test is flawed because of the sample size, you can't make any assumptions from testing only one device.
lmao the cockpit on the old one gets fucking annihilated
Spoiler: modern American cars have crumple zones too, and for good reason
> that crumples like a tin can.
nu-Yea Forums zoomanon in charge of understanding physics
>saver driving around in an old cadilac than in a modern Toyota that crumples like a tin can
Dumb fucking boomer take, cars are built to crumple now because it means they absorb more of the impact that would otherwise turn your spine into Nerds rope
>having an unsalvageable car after a crash is good
very good goyim
beats the alternative (a pristine car with you dead inside of it)
spoiler: the 1959 car is even more unsalvageable and the driver is also dead
>I might have died but at least my car is salvageable
Yeah that old car in is totally salvageable bro
Same reason why I didn't buy an OLED TV.
I played more than 3600 hours of PS5 games per week. The Switch OLED wouldn't last me a single day.
Counterpoint, there were less women drivers in 1959
buy switch, now
OLEDs don't get burn in of you are continuously changing the image, which you do when playing Vidya.
This website did over 9000 hours of burn in testing, and COD did not produce any burn in. FIFA did, but who plays those shitty games.
