Always has been. Always will be. Filtered. fpbp. /thread.
Decent pick user was doubting between vegas and 3 myself.
ER/MGSV/NV 5/5
RDR 3.5/5
Witcher 0/5
ER and New vegas are the only good games on here. Witcher is ok
Objective Ordering if we're only talking about quality and not personal bias is:
>Elden Ring
>New Vegas
>Phantom Pain
>RDR2
>Witcher 3
You're welcome for the definitive answer. Everyone can abandon thread now.

What's the matter? You look constipated.
MGSV and Elden Ring are the only ones that have gameplay worth a shit.
This post embarrassed your family
1. Elden Ring
2. New Vegas
3. Rdr2
4. Witcher
5. Mgs
elden ring is fantastic, though a bit on the "holy fuck it's long" side
witcher is also an amazing game
metal gear v has honestly amazing gameplay, absolutely plagued by kojima shenanigans and mostly empty world, though still kinda fun to fuck around
rdr2 had the making if a great game, absolutely dragged down by it's absolute terrible pacing. for an open world game, it sure likes to run on rails. has zero respect for player time, everything you do takes a long time. don't get me started on making bullets holy shit
i'm not a fan of nv gameplay, so it's last for me
RDR2 has the best open world
1 - ER
2 - RDR
3 - Phantom Pain
4 - New Vegas
5 - The witcher
I don't like the choices, so:
GTA V
Red Dead Redemption 2
Skyrim
Fallout: New Vegas
Elden Ring
You also forgot Death Stranding which topples Witcher or Phantom Pain from that list easily.
For me it does topple New Vegas too but that's a personal preferance.
Uh, no but thanks for trying.
You don't even have klotski on here, you fucking pleb
1. STALKER
>no Skyrim
Skyrim is the king of open world
RDR2 the only challenger to the throne
Witcher 3 is the court jester
completely forgot about Skyrim or Oblivion for some reason.. forgive me user-sama i'll replace MGS with it for the next thread.
I've come to realize that I fucking hate open world games, all the empty space serves no purpose whatsoever other than to pad out the game
This. Skyrim beats all the games in the OP.

9/10 held back by the fact that you must patch it extensively to get the game playable without major bugs or QoL issues.
>RDR2
Boring fetch quest spaghetti western wannabe for fatherless redditors. Too much effort poured into the things that matter least.
>Witcher 3
Great story. Shit combat. Railroaded detective sections. 10/10 if given to a competent company.
>elden ring
8/10 held back by sharp drop-off of viable builds at the 3/4th point. The fire giant one shots most builds without massive investments in vigor. I shouldn't have to be playing with an overleveled tank to stand a chance. Plus, the overworld is unnecessary and shits on a lot of what made the old ones special.
>phantom pain
Opposite of Witcher 3. Fantastic gameplay and sandbox. Dogshit story. Characters aren't fun anymore. It's worth playing, but skip the cutscenes.
I honestly think Skyrim is still the best one, even though it's pretty dated.
>new vegas
10/10

>mgsv
0/10 because the story pissed me off and I will never forgive Kojima
None of the above. Those are the obvious choices a normie would pick.
List your three favorite games, user.
>mgsv
?
I actually love too many games. But I guess I would include S.T.A.L.K.E.R. here even though it's not 100 percent open world.
You have to admit that all of those games are/were HUGELY popular, and even the normies I know have played most or all of them.
ER is the best and is also the only one I have played
Elden Ring is the best bar none.
The sense of scale and adventure is unmatched but what really puts it above every other open world game is its legacy dungeons. The open world is large enough but then you also have these sprawling, complex, interconnected dungeons. It managed to obtain the quality of a linear game while maintaining the level of freedom you get in an open world game unlike RDR2. I think this is the first time that has happened.
1. Elden Ring & NV
2. MGSV
the rest do not fucking matter except to s o y faggots
Incredibly based.
Witcher 3 is a terrible game and everything Yea Forums hates about games. Idk how anyone here can like it.

9/10

10/10

6/10
why would MGSV even be in a discussion? After you capture enough quality soldiers the enemy outposts become a hindrance
The Witcher 3 > New Vegas > RDR2 > Phantom Pain > Elden Ring
Nice shitpost.
Making ER fans look stupid is in vogue right now.
Why did you guys continue replying after this comment? gave the right answer and the wrote thread/ are you blind or something?
I mean, objectively speaking RDR2 has the most atmosphere from all these games; most detail to the open world and strenous attention to so many facets of the open world. Might not have the best gameplay (on this list MGSV probably has the smoothest gameplay) but in terms of open world design it is the apex in gaming so far.

New Vegas
I’d rather play Dark Souls than Elden Ring
this makes contrarian faggots cringe.
>i'm a retard and lack understanding therefore everyone else is also a retard
1. BOTW
2. New Vegas
3. Elden Ring
2/10 tranny vegas
7/10 Elden Ring
4/10 Bitcher
Idc for the rest
mgsv can't even be considered open world because it is not an essential open world game like the others. If mario 3 had replayable levels, then it'd be a better open world game than mgsv. With V, you essentially have to go back and forth between mother base and the next mission. Yes I know you are not forced to retreat to mb, but who would do that? Most ppl just retreat to motherbase which makes the game essentially linear with some missions that can be done in parallel.
It is open world but I would say the open world is detrimental to the game even if does allow a lot of freedom in how to do things. After you have explored the enemy camps, there's really not much of a reason to not just take a jeep and dash to the next mission point really.
Why is the Witcher 0/5?
>atmosphere
Elden Ring is more atmospheric and more imaginative at that
>attention to detail
That literally does not affect my enjoyment of the game whatsoever cause most of it I can't even see let alone experience. In fact it is detrimental a lot of the times like the needlessly detailed animations for looting or even just moving around.
Yeah lol it was shit.
Got scammed into buying this mediocrity.
Toontown Online
Easy
I loved the little random events that you encounter in Kingdom Come. Win a tournament, then when traveling there's a rope on trees that knocks you off your horse and the finalist that you beat in the tournament was to kill you for the prize, you have the guys selling treasure maps that appear sometimes, lady sitting on a bench at night who's bait for thieves to ambush you, there's a noble knight guy who just wants a fair duel. I feel like those little things aren't really done in the vast majority of open worlds that feel really static and dull.
Witcher is easy 5/5
Most memorable quests and has good gameplay.
Elden Ring is another easy 5/5
Best open world exploration and combat
New Vegas is another easy 5/5
best rpg mechanics
RDR2 is just 4/5
technical marvel but its boring
MGS V
i dont know i dropped it after 10 hours. kojima is trash
Skyrim
>Elden Ring is more atmospheric
it's really not
they all have some flavs and also good things about them
i'd say
>NV
3,8/5 - game is good, but world not so much
>RDR2
5/5 world, gameplay has many flaws
>TW3
shit i dont remember it very well, i remember that i had fun in it but first location was too stretched and boring, but everything after was good, i'd say 4/5
>ER
at first it seems boring as fuck, then you have fun, and then it is boring again and last location makes you want to rush through it to end the game, i'd say SOLID 3,8/5. i would rather it be semi-open world like Souls games
>MGS V
i didnt finish it because i got too bored and i dont remember much from it. i say.... 3/5
>open world thread
>no BotW in the OP
Yea Forums still seethin lmao
