What are you enjoying on your Switch lads? Any recent pickups/downloads?

I filled up my 1 TB card awhile ago and gave up on trying to make the Switch a compact, minimalistic gaming machine and just started buying most things physically. The problem is it makes it hard to finish things because I'm too lazy to change carts sometime. Recent pickups that I'm currently playing (or just haven't finished because I got something new),
>smt v
>metroid dread
>mary skelter finale
>the house in fata morgana
>legend of mana
>eastward
>rune factory 5
>triangle strategy
>super robot wars 30
>blue reflection: second light
>disco elysium
>bug fables
>disgaea 6
>cris tales
I'm currently playing 13 Sentinels even though I already played it on PS4. The Switch has too many games.
Having fun playing with retroarch shaders and overlays
Grandia 1 and then 2
I'm kind of jumping between Kowloon High School Chronicle and Death Mark, both pretty great.
I also got Pathway because it was like $2 or something like that. I have a feeling it's one of those bullshit artificial-difficulty, unwinnable-situation rougelite games like Into the Breach, but sometimes something like that can be fun for a while.
Just finished Kirby (great game) and wondering what to play next in my backlog:
>The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening
>NEO The World Ends With You
>Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition
>The Wonderful 101 Remastered
>Blaster Master Zero
CAn anyone post the current/upcoming recommended games list pic?
The only you keep seeing is probably the shitpost one.
I picked up virtua racer yesterday and am considering deleting MK11 since I don't play it anymore. Other than that enjoying animal crossing and monster hunter with q mystery dungeon replay coming soon
just beat Shiva on SMT V and got my ass handed to me by Demi Fiend
I'm continuing my replay of all three Xenoblades leading up to XC3's release, I'm on the Fallen Arm in XCDE
>The Wonderful 101 Remastered
Yep. Play that one. Especially if you've never finished it before. The final chapter is the most Platinum thing ever made.
I'm currently replaying Atelier Ryza and also playing Age of Calamity for the first time.
What game should I buy next, anons?
>SMTV
>Astral Chain
>Pokemon Arceus
>Kirby and the Forgotten Land
>Neo TWEWY
Play DMC3 next, it's the oldest game in your list, and a great experience if you haven't played it yet.
>What game should I buy next, anons?
Honestly, all of those games are great. It really depends what you want out of your next game.
I'd probably say go with Astral Chain purely because unless you're buying digitally, it's becoming harder and harder to find by the day physically.
Kirby is like 10 hours long to 100% so it can be a nice breather game between two longer ones.
>Kirby is like 10 hours long to 100%
Took me 23 hours.
Grabbed one of the Borderlands bundles on sale and am running through BL2 again. Also picked up Hob and Dungeon of Crawl, really enjoy Hob's complete lack of dialog and handholding while DoC is a fun two dollar game I play when I just want to kill a few minutes.
Also bought a Matte black backplate to swap in since the last one I got looks bad.
I have no idea what the fuck I'm doing, but I love this game.
>Remove entire press-release system and use a dremel to remove raised section for the button that prevents it from sitting in a case correctly
>still doesn't fit case right
gonna work on it more when I get an urge to tinker, works pretty well on beat em ups and other arcadey games.
I also tend to run into this issue since I'm a big fan of long jrpgs and VNs. At some point you just have to make a selection of what interests you the most and put off buying the rest until you know you'll have the time to make for it. For instance, my house rules based on what I like is getting and playing most Nintendo first parties on day one (interrupting what I was already playing if necessary) plus a few other series like Atelier and Ys. Right now is a pretty packed period so I decided not to add 13 Sentinels to my list until I'm done with stuff I'm already playing like Shin Megami Tensei V, Death end re;Quest 2 and Triangle Strategy. I'll miss a few games along the way that I'll never have time for, but giving up on them is better to me than having them and not playing them.
Started Animal Crossing
Why? Serious question. I bought it because it came out like 2 days into the lockdown and somehow put 40 hours in before realizing that it wasn't going anywhere and I wasn't having fun. I thought it would be more like a modern Harvest Moon, but it's more like The Sim's for toddlers. I'm not even being contrarian for the sake of being contrarian; I literally do not understand why people like this game.
I do the same when it comes to long games as well. I only buy a bunch of them and refrain from buying more until I'm actually done. Rhythm games, shmups, puzzle, arcade and local multi games get the different treatment of course.
However I still bought 13 Sentinels in its release week just to give Vanillaware the message that I'm interested in seeing more of their stuff ported and directly developed on Switch (considering the studio held out for so long before).
Not him but it's cute and I like collecting, doing little chores and designing my island.
Most popular fighting game on switch that isn’t smash bros?
How's Space Invaders Invincible Collection and Bubble Bobble 4 Friends?
Probably ARMS and Dragon Ball FighterZ
Probably Dragon Ball Fighterz.
Playing Torna rn, really good game
Noice. It’s on sale right now. I’ll give it a buy.
I really like how much love Vanillaware gets here. This place is usually so cynical about supporting studios or even paying for games, and when something gets ported to Switch everyone pretends like it was never good to begin with. Meanwhile everybody likes 13 Sentinels because it's just a really good game.
I’m currently playing through the first xenoblade chronicles but the combat really isn’t fun. I hope the 2nd game is better.
This is pretty good
Xc2 combat is great and adds a lot more depth than the first game
Probably the best way to go. If you do it right, you'll probably get the game with the full roster at regular price.
Playing dragon quest XI. About 48 hours in. Holy crap this game is long. I just want it to be over so I can play trials of mana remake.
Tormented Souls
Rune Factory 5
There's probably a lot more left, so you should just take a break so you don't get burnt out. Great game though
Bro it's something to play a bit each day, going turbo autist and trying to do as much as possible beyond the daily 30-40 minutes of progression and completing stuff for Nook Miles just burns you out and frustrates you. I only use it to chill and fish now since the Devs refuse to add any actual QoL changes, why be able to craft multiple things at once when the average player only needs to replace a tool or two each play session right? Fuck Nintendo and fuck the "Japanese innovation" that has them a decade behind on game trends/QoL and two decades behind on their online services
I like the dress-up dollhouse island shit, but it's not worth the purposeful drawing out of everything in the game.
Playing splatoon. I'm bored of SMT V and looking into getting arcaeus or astral chain. haven't played xenoblade 2 either so maybe that's an option too.
>TMNT Cowabunga Collection has a limited edition
Oh co-
>$150
Goddamnit.
Pirated Kirby on the pc. Pretty good game.
Other than that still playing comfy salmon run games on my actual switch. Just finished playing naruto storm 1-3 thinking of getting 4 too just for old time sake. Plus havent really seen buroto cause it looks dumb. Looking forward to switch sports too bad its about 3 years too late.
I've been playing through Super Metroid for the first time. I'm not completely blind, but I haven't been looking anything up either.
Getting Earthworm Jim 2 was a pleasant surprise. I hope the first game gets on the Genesis app.
Are there any games you find yourself replaying a lot? For me it's Pikmin 3, Metroid Dread and 3D World.
Enjoying Binding of Isaac with LazarusCHAD
I think I ruined my BotW playthrough and I'm regretting it. Elden Ring dropped when I was playing it and I switched to it, now I am not really feeling the Zelda afterwards. Hopefully I can recapture my enjoyment of it because I was really enjoying myself.
Maybe I should swap to Three Houses for a while?
>This actually stayed a Switch exclusive
based responsible adult. I like you comfybros, but backlogfags have issues with impulse control.
>Any recent pickups/downloads?
Triangle strategy
Kirby
Pokemon legends
Pretty hyped for the first one, and no precise expectations for the other 2
One Step from Eden. I wasn't sure at first but after unlocking the gunner and figuring out the power archetypes/gimmicks I find myself playing a run when I have 20-30 minutes to kill.
My issue is the stuff I like doesn't go on sale often or they don't get reprints, so I just go ahead and jump on it.
My OLED bricked itself after an error and Nintendo won’t recognize the S/N even though I provided receipts. Fuck Nintendo.
>Splatoon 3 Apartments.jpg
>My OLED bricked itself after an error
What happened?
>ARMS
lol.
:'(
Combat is something that's been improved with every new Xenoblade (except Future Connected which just is XC1 combat but with less team variety). I'm really hoping 3 features an improved version of Torna's combat with more flexibility, and the fact they've revealed a large, even cast of characters early on has me hopeful we'll get a similar rearguard/vanguard system
I dropped it in the toilet
Got back into Splatoon and suddenly I'm staying up until 4am again. Just like old times.
Are there still a lot of people playing splatoon 2 or should I just wait for 3?
I don't let sales control what and when I buy anymore. That's how they get you ;)
Splatoon 2 is still very active. Even Splatoon 1 on Wii U is still going strong online.
Plenty. Get both. 2 is great just for the single player alone.
Fitness boxing 2. You can make Jan the perfect Gyaru and have her barefoot in the game. Its perfect. I have a 10 day streak so far.
I'm playing Links Awakening right now and it's really cozy.
lmao this nigga. glad you're having a good time man.
Havent been touching my Switch right now at the moment, mostly because I've been bashing out FFX on my Xbox
Going to start FFXII on Switch tho.
Also excited to play 13 Sentinels, Famicom Detective Club and Silver Case
Got two switches now. One is for cartridge games I already own and anything with online multiplayer. other one the cartridge slot is fucked up on however it was exploitable so anything single player I'm pirating (as well as emulators) been playing mickeys speedway USA on the n64 retroarch and mario party superstars on the other one
Almost done with XC2 (main game), missing Zenovia quest, some side quest and the final chapter, I'll then play 13 Sentinels and then it is Torna time.
>Coomer Meta-gaming himself fit
Gotta Protectors: Cart of Darkness
Loving the game, but I wish more people were playing so it'd be easier to find rooms.
Went to sleep after playing BotW. Put it to sleep and set it on my nightstand. Woke up and turned it on and got the fatal error message. I turned it off to restart it and it never turned back on. I tried every factory reset button combo and every charging cable swap youtube could provide. Nothing. It isn’t hacked either.
Anyone here looking forward to Switch Sports?
Getting back into Ring-Fit. Again.
