Well now I don't want one

Well now I don't want one.

Fuck them.

>plummet
ok, how much % did it fell for that journo to use hyperbole?

>"GPU PRICES ARE FINALLY COMING DOWN!!!!"
>RTX 3080 and 6800XT are still over $1000 before tax and shipping
suck my nuts

It's close to MSRP

As if paying $750 for a 3070 Ti or $1000 for a 3080 is a good deal
Fuck that

I want to see them suffer, I'm not spending more than $500 on a 3080.

13%, they ar far from being at the lowest too

3080 12GB's are still priced nearly as much as a 3080Ti. My local stores have no 3080 10GB's with the exception of MSI Ventus ones which nobody is buying because they're shit.

>Well now I don't want one.
Why would you? the 40X0 is around the corner.

You keep using that word, "Plummet"

30% in some cases

Oh . Its still nothing. Lmk when I can snag a 1650 or 1660 for machine learning on my homeserver.

Remember when the 2000 series was released and tons of people were shitting on them for being overpriced relative to previous generations?
And now here we are, where prices even higher than that are something they have "plummeted" to and you're supposed to see them as a good deal.

>tfw got an MSI 3060ti for MSRP.

>fuck manufacturers for not selling at a loss
It takes effort to have the shittiest take of the day on this board, congrats to you.

Being close to MSPR is good.

Lowering MSRP can be better.

I'll wait.

>somebody think of the companies!!
lmao

>MSI
Oh shit I'm sorry.

chest should be flatter to better represent the 3060

MSRP does not mean break even.

When Nvidia announced the 3070 at $500 and the 3080 at $700 they were already designed to be profitable.
Now processes have matured, their margins are fatter.

>ze prices vill NEVER be back to normal
told you you're full of shit, fags

I plan on waiting until the end of the year.

The issue is they aren't, they're close to MSRP because MSRP has skyrocketed.

they're going to keep dropping too

Sorry for what?

>selling at a loss
They would have to sell it for significantly below msrp for that to occur.

exactly how I felt about ps5

Its just severe cope, its understandable, cant really fault people for that.

I work in shipping
The container market died 6 weeks ago

It might get worse again because of Shanghai but it doesn't seem like it

Garbage thermals, for some reason MSI really fucked up their iteration of the 3000 series.

Died as in there aren't enough or died as in no interest?

Our daddy taught us not to be ashamed of our GPUs, 'specially since they're such a good size 'n' all.

>The container market died 6 weeks ago
What does this even mean?

>replying to underage larpers

Msrp on these things is set at like a crazy markup. It costs them probably around $250 w/ materials, time, and labor for a 3070, and they sell to stores for somewhere around $525, with stores taking a 30% cut bumping it up to ~$750

It's a cool market floating off the coast of hong kong made from discarded shipping containers.
It sank, plummeted to the bottom of the ocean.

It literally died.
There's no ships being sold or fixed on new employments.

Did it crash? No one knows because there's no new benchmarks to compare.
I think it crashed, but everyone has too much money in the bank to make the first move yet.

Call me when they return to $300 for mid end.

kek

What the fuck are you even talking about

Fair, I didn't consider MSRP as being largely marked up. I rescind my snarky post.

Consider inflation into that.

>could spend 1500 dollars on a gpu
>spent 150 on a pistol and killed the local drug dealer instead
>stole over 45,000 dollars from his home
>put his body in his car and burned it
>stole 5 more guns from his home and all of his video games too

NOOO THEY'VE PLUMMETED FROM $2500 TO $2000 THE SKY IS FALLING

I got a 3080 at msrp months ago just by walking into a bestbuy
if you want one, go outside to a physical store

It's terrible
So we're making new +50 or +ti graphics cards with a new higher more sustainable msrp because for some reason even the gamers are eaing this shit up
Bless the stockholders

Shut up, Dobson.

pics or it didn't happen

Agreed, The Organization's not liking these numbers. They'll likely make a move in the next two weeks.

not where I live. They have 3080 10GB are going for 850-900 12GB models are 1000. 3080ti is 1200. They have plenty in stock too.

Please explain what you mean

>1000 bucks for a 3080
Fuck those jews.

Attached: goyvidya.png (579x478, 149.83K)

I heard that they're going to use 'that'.

Just finance it poorfag. By the time it's paid off you can buy the 5000 series

I already upgraded my GPU before the market shat itself. Imagine ever listening to Yea Forums.
>hurr durr just CONSOOM
Fuck off kike.

In retrospect, was he wrong?
2000 series was cheap compared to what came after

laughed

>3070Ti cards have "fallen" to sub $850
woooooooooooooooooooooooow

i have a 1070ti and dont really feel the need to upgrade

Later products being even more overpriced doesn't retroactively make the previous products not overpriced.

>prices are """""""""plummeting"""""""""

Attached: 1643571257370.png (937x575, 92.92K)

You won't need to for at least another year. I give all GPUs 5-6 years minimum.

You fucking retard.

I don't see any plummeting but there sure are more people trying to sell their used mining rigs in my local area.

>got a 3080 for MSRP at launch
>"Prices are almost back at MSRP!"
>look it up
>over 50% mark-up
But on the bright side: The new ones now have 2 extra gigabytes of extra VRAM!!!!(that you don't need)
