Monitors = VGA 31KHz high resolutions
TVs = standard res 15KHz 240p/480i.

TVs have less vertical lines. theyre designed for 480i signal. CRT monitors have much more vertical lines and the most common ones are designed for progressive 1024x768

lierally the best way to play pre gamecube/ps2/xbox games. dunno how people stretch old nes/snes games to modern resolutions. Even with filters they never looked good imo.

HDMI -> VGA works. It won't be able to push your monitor as high as it can go, but mine can do 2880x2160.

I still have mine, it's a big TV, but it's so fucking heavy that my dumb brother scratched the glass while trying to move it recently.
Sucks however I don't need it anymore. I have a 48" LG Oled and with BFI active and some CRT shaders it's simply better than the CRT.
