Yea Forums doomposters BTFO, officially the best selling SMT game.
Why did it take this long honestly? Even more niche JRPGs like Tales of Arise sold 1 million quicker. The only ones slower to my knowledge to the 1 million mark was Scarlet Nexus and Code Vein.
fun game mechanically, but also the least inspired SMT game of them all
ATLUS games are still pretty niche outside of Persona and Tales is multiplatform and always sold better than SMT.
>Tales of
>More niche than SMT
LOL LMAO
In what made up universe if I may ask?
>Scarlet Nexus and Code Vein
Look forward for Switch releases.
SMT is tied to Persona. Tales doesn't have that luxury
BRAZILIAN SNOY UTTERLY BTFO
what a retarded argument.
Get the rope snoy.
Quick post your favorite new demon you hope comes back in the next game.
Never forget.
>not even 2 million copies
FLOP

I'm happy for it
Outsold every single other SMT game, ESPECIALLY those on snoystation
:)
>Best selling SMT by far

Let the copening commence.
gratz on the sales for that mediocre game
And yet, Soul Hackers it's on the Switch. Curious.
Maniax/Final/Redux/Apocalypse version when?
PC port when?
Hope soul hackers 2 and SMTV special addition sell well too.
What is the best song in the game and why is it this?

Honestly I wish it didn't. I had fun with it, but it was pretty disappointing overall. I hope Atlus puts more effort into the next SMT game. Devil Summoner 2 is not a good sign for the future of the series.
i need to use those powers
hard mode demands a lot of you
Demifiend. no questions
Noooo sonysisters it just keeps getting worse!!!
shiva was a banger, took me completely by surprise considering how shitty this soundtrack was compared to iv, iv:a and nocturne
But snoybro told me it was a flop???
Tales is definitely a more popular franchise. You should compare the sales history of both franchises
good morning sir
Nice.
Wish it was on more platforms though, so more people could enjoy it, including me, lol.
nah, they are making each franchise more distinct from each other
But Devil Summoner was already distinct. And the new game literally steals persona mechanics which does not sound very distinct to me.
Elden ring sold 12 million in a week LOL
the music in this game is fucking amazing
>normalfags can't get into turnbased because its too hard for them
just the same as always
wtf smtgtrannies, what happened? I thought Atlus didn't want to talk about this game anymore, at this rate every single narrative about the game you made up is going to end up being bullshit...
Really does need some kind of expansion
The main story is probably the worst in the series it only becomes a SMT story in the last dungeon
Don't mind the
>Evasion Buff on Reflect Demon
It's almost like /smtg/ is full of nothing but doomposter faggots who don't actually play the games and just want to circlejerk about how cool they are for playing older SMT games (they don't actually play them either they watch lets plays of them) and wanking off Kaneko's designs for the 10000000000 millionth time (they'll post flower fields image of him and cry about him not doing art anymore and post same 10 demon designs over and over)
>rest of the party gets Megidolaon'd
they sell roughly the same, most titles for both are sub 1 million. Keep in mind SMT is generally exclusive too while tales of is multiplat
Remember when SMT Had dignity?
>Why did it take this long honestly
Most games have a drop off and it went into a pretty harsh next couple months up against some heavy competition for peoples time
Halo Infinite in december
Arceus in January
Elden Ring and Horizon in February, with the direct also directing a lot of attention away from the most recently released titles.
That being said, I'm quite happy with SMTV being the best selling game in the series yet. I hope this encourages Atlus to throw some more money its way, especially with its likely pretty modest budget
Kill your friends boyo.
No
Wait didn't even Octopath Traveller sell 1 million copies faster than this? And isn't Triangle Strategy on its way to 1 million pretty quickly too? What a fall for the series.
>play as a half naked twink with body tats in capris collecting menorahs
>dignity
Multiplat vs exclusive
If the Nvidia leak is to be believed, PC version isnt too far away.
As for the direct sequel or remix version? I'd give it an E3 announcement at this point.
Hopefully the next one is more story heavy
>most of Doi's demons from 4A made it in
>including Dagda's mom
>but no dagda
I hope they're saving him for the maniax version.
it looks like the brazilian is seething very hard itt
Wrong. So, SO wrong. Not even close to being true.
Several SMT games have sold over 1M copies and some even reached 2M sales before Arise.
SMT games had never reached 1M sales til now
>Tales of Arise
You can't really compare the 2 when pc troons ate up Arise because they hadn't gotten FF7R scraps yet. Rest assured tales will never sell that quick again.
Pretty much a non-issue aside from Demifiend, plus i only got Hayatoro on NG+ so he is a memebuild to start with.
Honestly he is very wasted since he is so obviously a Mid-Game Demon but you only get him at End-Game on one specific route you kinda have to go out of your way to use him, so i really hope he returns even if he is leaning to a "THIS GAME ONLY" design.
V honestly has a lot of weird shit that reek of cut content/ptential updated rerelease, like being able to register Tao but not summon her due story relevance, her whole second form and more stuff.
symphonia and vesperia sales combine the originals with the remasters, doesn't count, each single game sold less than that
*Several Tales of games
Fuck me
Anyone have the SMTV images the Fallout 3 poster made? I need them for archival purposes
nah if it was using smt buff system maybe but persona buff system without any of the persona style is worse of both worlds
SMTV was uncontested from a Japanese standpoint until Pokemon and they had basically a month before Halo if that had any effect or 2 months if we don't include it and only include Pokemon. If it wasn't going to sell gangbusters in a month, it was never going to keep selling like an evergreen.
The only saving grace is the fact it got to the best selling spot as you said but that isn't hard to do these days as long as you don't have a completely dead franchise with more people in video games that would probably pick up your game despite never playing any other of the games in the series.
>nintentard drones have shit taste

The Devil Survivor artist should work on a mainline game.
isn't he working on Soul Hackers 2 and everyone complained?
Neat but where is the update version that will make these one million buyers complete morons?
Good
He should've worked on SH2 instead, I'll take Yasuda's coomer art over Pixiv Artist #29442
Didn’t P5 Strikers sell 1.2M?
even then, the Tales series is more popular. Tales of Vesperia's definitive edition sold 1.5 million. The Nocturne remaster sold 500k.
persona has more fans than copies sold lol. honestly persona 5 seems way way way bigger then only 3 million.
No, that's Mira Shirow, who likely got the job because he's worked with Sega on JRPGs before (7th Dragon)
Wasn't the pc version supposed to be released already by now according to the nvidia leak?
Hang on....Yea Forums said this game flopped hard? Does anyone remember? It was around the time people also said the Steam Deck was going to kill the Switch?
SMT would have similar sales figures if it wasn't exclusive
>The Nocturne remaster sold 500k.
lazy remasters of decade and a half old games isn't indicative of sales potential
Persona is Atlus' most popular franchise by far
Vending Machine>Nabohino.
