Elden Ring EXPOSED

youtube.com/watch?v=8dlt7THiE08
This video flawlessly explains why Elden Ring is bad.
FromSoftware lied, Spirit Ashe Summons were a massive mistake.
This is just the beginning, people are slowly realizing how bad Elden Ring truly is.

>FromSoftware lied, Spirit Ashe Summons were a massive mistake.

TL;DR - Bosses bad, Fromsoft betrayed their own design philosophy, summons were a mistake

he's entirely right of course, now watch fromdrones fall over themselves to tell him to gittu le guddu and that he didn't play the game

Still having fun with the game, shazamtranny

And why am I the shazamtranny? I'm just giving user the tl;dr of the video.

I'm not telling him anything because I'm not going to watch the video

UHHHHHHHH

I beat Melania yesterday as a mele build (no summons, level 152).

Honestly, I think her fight has a lot of great elements with just a few flaws.

1) A few attacks feel like they should always provide opening to attack after she finishes them, like the air dance. But instead she can launch into new attacks afterwards with no time even to heal.
2) Her hyper armor when dodging sometimes feels like it comes out of no where
3) The first part of her air attack is too difficult to dodge when up close to her, could use a longer wind up time
4) Her wings in the second phase can make it confusing on what attack she's gonna use next

Other than that, I don't really see any problems

we desperately need a pastebin for youtube videos
viral marketers need to pound sand

Thanks for telling me what to dislike! I'll get right on it!

>if I close my eyes and cover my ears it doesn't exist!
KEK

>don't talk about video games and video game related content!
Why do you come to Yea Forums?

>this is the 3rd time the shazamrtroon has tried this

No it exists I just don't give a shit about some literally who youtuber's gay opinion about a video game. Also be less of an obvious redditor

>can't even be bothered to fix his typos each time
Amazing

Don't care. Fromsoft games have always been flawed, and the enjoyment for me has always been primarily the lore, atmosphere, visuals, level design, exploration and cool boss designs.

Elden ring has that in swathes. It feels like a genuine adventure through a massive real dark fantasy world, and it gave me feels I haven't felt since DS1. Sure, it has balance issues. It also has by far the most variety in terms of what's viable and the variety of options you get as a player. That's obviously going to be difficult to balance around.

DS1 was broken as shit gameplay wise, you could trivialize it with a shield and heavy armor.

i like talking about videogames not youtube recommendations thank you

YouTube videos are no more related to the games they're about than a shit in the street is to the city's architecture

I don't like Elden Ring, but I fucking hate youtubers.

Regarding common criticism:
>repeated bosses
While valid criticism, Elden Ring still has tons of unique bosses: more than any DS game plus DLC. The complexity of bosses is high, as they usually boast 10+ unique attack animations.
>weak second half
Consecrated Snowfield is merely a skippable part. Haligtree and Farum Azula are as good as earlier areas.
>too difficult / unbalanced
Bosses are balanced around the fact casual players use spirit summons. Boss speed and aggression are necessary for 2vs1. The completion rate for Elden Ring is high for such a long game.
>repeated mobs
While valid criticism, there are few open world games on the market with a more extensive list of mobs than Elden Ring. A comparison with prior Dark Souls, Skyrim, RDR2, Nioh or BoTW ends heavily in favor of Elden Ring.
>generic dungeons
Filler dungeons, while mediocre, are no worse than industry standards - Skyrim crypts or BoTW shrines. Some offer a decent puzzle or layout. All are optional, since main areas already offer 50+ playing hours.
>no longevity
Elden Ring has shown longevity unheard-of from single player games. Two months after release, it retains triple the player count of Skyrim at its launch.
>poor optimization for PC
Valid criticism.
>exploration is pointless
Objectively false. Getting Runes, Sacred Tears, Golden Seeds and Smithing Stones is necessary, regardless of your playstyle.
>few interactable NPCs
A design choice. Dark Souls worlds evoke melancholy, loneliness and nostalgia. Lived-in, harmonic settlements would counteract this despair, offering little more than window dressing. All the more effort went into designing, voicing and meaningfully writing the NPCs present.
>bad lore
VaatiVidya's "Elden Ring's Lore: Explained" video reached almost 3 million views within a week. More than any Skyrim lore video, 10 years after its release. Elden Ring lore is very captivating.
>game flopped
Elden Rings sales record so far matches the second best-selling game in history.

>playing Souls games for the meme difficulty
Sad. These games have always had a secret easy mode. If you specced into Magic or summoned for help you basically played the game in easy mode. There were more than a handful of other ways to cheese the game like using poison on certain vulnerable enemies or abusing the fuck out of a bow. Elden Ring is no different in how it lets you abuse cheap tactics but people will always cry it seems.

K. Still having fun with the game. Dilate.

haven't most people beat it and moved on?

don't use summons then lmao

Not watching. Not arring. Having fun. Seethe and cope troon.

Don't want easy mode? Just don't use it then lmao

Is anyone actually saying the game flopped? It went fucking gangbusters, it's by far From's most successful game

>theDeModcracy
really?

>europoor cuckcsent

Exactly, this isn't an argument
Shazamtroons hitting new lows everyday

Not sure what does this have to do with anything? The bosses are all designed around solo melee play like in previous games

Fromsoft has literally always had an easy mode baked into their games. Magic, heavy armor, shield, summoning players, ect. Every souls game had this. It's intentional.

Oh, where were you when everyone was attacking journos for asking for an easy mode? Your voice sure as fuck wasn't heard.

I'd argue they're more unfair than they were previously, because they had to account for all the new tools players are given. The game sort of wants you to fight bullshit with bullshit.

yet using ashes doesnt scale the bosses hp because u already in the area when u summon u dumbfuck.

cool
still love most of the bosses in the game

Attached: e26.jpg (600x754, 65.19K)

>play a game
>get 100 hours out of it
>have an overwhelmingly positive experience, though know it has a few issues
>watch some youtube video by a dude I've never heard of
>wtf I hate game now

How it less fair if you have access to the same amount of bullshit? It's only harder if you handicap yourself.

I was here reminding them that every soulsborne game has had easy mode before this one.

Elden Ring has been EXPOSED as a shit game, all the fun you had wasn't actually you having fun! KEK!

its ok when miyazaki does it

>every from soft game has coop and broken build that triviliaze the game
>NOO BUT SUMMONS ARE DIFFERENT
Why are you discord transexuals so mentally ill? Elden Ring is a masterpiece, accept it and move on already you fucking losers

Because we have to pretend that Fromsoft games are hard, for some reason

posting it more than once doesnt mean you're right

Attached: Untitled.png (1245x934, 190.76K)

Since when, I beat dark souls 1 with a keyboard dodging with the space bar for fucks sake

I hate videogames so much it's unreal

and it just proves that elden ring is the easiest of all the souls game because it gave you a shit ton of arsenal bc of the open world meme. on top of that, ashes can be used, and there is no punishment for doing so while keeping the bosses. bosses stay at their initial hp and dont scale. if you play it without this retarded gimmick, then yes. its a unfair because the game ENCOURAGES using ashes. EVERY FUCKING CATACOMBS REWARDS YOU ASHES. It's the devs reminding people to use them.

Based, shazamsisters kneel

"We" don't have to do shit, redditourist faggot

If you're posting in the thread without saging it, you're still part of the problem

>It's optional so it's ok if it's bad
This doesn't work when most of the game's content is "optional" and some of the best content (like volcano manor) is arguably more hidden than the bad content (snowfield)

>Because we have to pretend that Fromsoft games are hard, for some reason
People beat these games with dance mat pads

fromsoft games are hard like a game of memory is hard, learning the layout of the board has the same difficulty curve as fromsoft bosses

Your cope doesn't work either because the optional content in ER isn't bad at all

>>one of the biggest fromsoft content creators on the internet
Why hasn't any one talked about him before then?

How the fuck is volcano manor hidden? You just walk there from Altus

Literally never heard of him before once

>the optional content in ER isn't bad at all
go on then, justify the tree ulcers. justify the copy pasted dungeons with the copy pasted "bosses"

Putting the word bosses in quotes doesn't make them not bosses
