Pirate Chads, do you ever buy games to support the developer if you enjoy a game so much?
Pirate Chads, do you ever buy games to support the developer if you enjoy a game so much?
Yes, shame demos are no longer a thing to sample games
Yes. If the game is good, is well made and the devs Twitter checks out then yes.
Nope, i reward devs with my time, that's a fair enough paycheck.
Only indie games, corporations will get my money only when they start paying taxes
Absolutely. It's probably a waste of time and money on my part, but I still believe in the old adage of rewarding good works.
Yes, though only when it's on sale
I just bought Nightmare Reaper after pirating and playing for a while, it is pretty fun
I did that a few times, unfortunately the few times I did the devs later turn out into massive fags (e.g. CDprojekt, Owlcat, etc.), so I never do it anymore.
It's ok to be poor user :)
I did this with stardew and warband I think. If it's a big game or a big company then I don't give a shit. They deserve far more than a dip in sales if you catch my drift.
>Pirate Cities Skylines at launch
>Feel bad and buy the game
>Learn about paradox as a company and regret decision
Yeah no
Actually, now that I think about it, I haven't actually pirated a game in the longest time. These new games aren't worth touching, let alone pirating.
Yeah always. I replay then legit version for cheevos and shit.
>It's ok to be based user :)
I know
I stopped pirating cause I made too much money
Hey hey shh, it's safe here. I understand some people rely on food stamps funded by people's taxes. It must be so hard to be poor. Something I wouldn't understand :)
>buy
No.
Best I can do is distribute copies to my friends if it's any good.
Of course. If I want less shit games in the world I have to do something about it.
>They deserve to die because they have money
This is why normal people don't like the poor
I buy the game if I like it. Not to support the devs or anything, I just like having good games in my library.
The only good communist is a dead communist.
Its not uncommon for groups to leave a big company and start their own team. Yacht club games were a bunch of people at wayfroward who knew from sales of the games they worked on they could do it solo.
So you buying in this case has at least a very small chance of that happening, but its super unlikely.
>funded by people's taxes.
... which rich people don't pay. don't forget to support the jews, cuck
Yes except Nintendo, I on principle do not pay money for games which are developed by Nintendo
Yes I do. I did this for Far Cry 3 and South Park: Stick of Truth.
No. See
Devs should be proud that I give them my attention and time.
I used to but that just resulted in having a bunch of games with 0 playtime, since I've already played the pirate copy.
I don't bother doing that anymore, it's pointless.
lolno. if the dev goes bankrupt, ill just move on
Why not user? Just curious
>You should be proud if a serial killer takes time to murder you.
It's ok to be dirt poor user. No shame in that
Sometimes I buy games I like or it's in development and I like it so much I can't wait for updated version to be hacked.
Not because they have money but because they are actively destroying society. They have ruined family, community and culture. They have robbed us of humanity.
Sometimes
Depends on who the dev is.
I didn't buy MGR because fuck Konami, but I bought Starsector and other indie games because I thought the creators deserved it
no, i am entitled to free games
You are entitled to jack shit socialist.
yeah sometimes
where can i get a good pirate of demons souls for emulation?
Yes, all the time. I spend maybe 20 bucks a week on food and 180 on video games. I pirate more games than I buy.
lmao no.
Unironically this.
Nah. I don't really care about developers and/or publishers.
Only indie games that I want more of.
>redditjak
Kill yourself
Every time I buy a game I wish I had pirated it but every time I pirate a game I wish I had bought it.
only did it once and it was because was so good i couldnt avoid it, the game was MHW
yes
yuppers
Supporting Japanese games means they will try to become more westoid. Supporting the rare non-shit westroid game means they will have more money to make woke shit.
I wanted to support Chrono Trigger after playing it a few times over, but the only way you could is to buy an extremely poor port on steam, that's full of bugs and other technical issues and is also censored (IE alot of text changed for the sake of political correctness). It's also the DS version with the extra garbage content, so I passed. I felt the same way about Earthworm Jim 1, but again the port on steam is a really poor DOS box port, and most people can't even play it.
Other times I want to play a game on PSN or Nintendo Switch's online service, so I keep the roms for myself, but I throw them a fair bit of money to access them. I just don't believe in them having the power to take these games away, when they don't offer an option to permanently keep them. For example, I was frustrated with sony because I bought Front mission 3 on my Ps3, but when that konked out, I found that I no longer owned Front Mission 3. My account transfer didn't acknowledge any of my previous game purchases, so that was several hundred dollars down the toilet, and I'm not buying a POS refurbished PS3 on the second hand market.
>mfw someone says I need to "respect the terms of service" right after being robbed blind
If it's good, yeah i can buy it when it's under 10$
>Starsector
Is this any good? Is it playable in any meaning form?
I'll never buy a game after i pirate. I hope nobody is stupid enough to pay for something he allready got for free.
I usually buy games i get for cheap though, or new games
nope
>calling it a "redditjak"
>while posting that it has a Yea Forums origin
lmao @ this redditor trying to claim wojaks
No, I'm not gonna make mental gymnastics about how corporations are evil so I pirate their games but I feel for the poor indie devs and give them money when I can. This shit is simple for me, I can get something for FREE instead of paying $20, $30, $60? I'm getting it for free.
>buy it when it's under 10$
i rarely pirate anymore, i emulated SMT V but bought elden ring and nier 50% off
Why the fuck would I pay for a game I already pirated lmao
That's Krautchan.
Pirating is too much effort unless I'm torrenting, I just buy the game instead of buying a McChicken or whatever not like I've made a purchase I regretted yet because I always look shit up to the point where I spoil myself the whole thing.
Humans like supporting things they wanna preserve, just don't buy from Steam or consoleshit servers unless you're certain you can always make every backup you could possibly need
