Everything provided by this guy works. The game runs. Not great, but it runs. Google around for setting tweaks if you get crashes.

I really liked what they were doing, stealth on the frontlines of a battlefield but ultimately you're not wrong. Stealth games are just puzzle games really and if the enemy doesn't have a "route pattern" that can be learned then the difficulty would just get ridiculous.
The 1st 2 acts at least had content.

yh the sneaking and railshooter act really were no 'brain off' moments but beasts, rex fight, the final battle and the boss appearance were. its a shit game anyway. but no matter how hard kojima tried to make it shit retards ate it all up.

If you took MGS4's first act and placed it into a more well-rounded game it would work great as a change of pace. But in and of itself it's not that compelling because most of the enemies are just participants in the battlefield setpiece. The Gekko aren't much better, though they're genuinely intimidating.

No problem. I was very unsure about this going in but it's quite workable. If you get in then freeze/crash google around for some optimised settings. There are a few things you can do to get it running a bit cleaner.
