Why would I listen to someone who didn't beat the game or who can't even beat mental illness?

Refuting common criticism:
>repeated bosses
While valid criticism, Elden Ring still has tons of unique bosses: more than any prior DS game plus DLC. The complexity of bosses is high, as they usually boast 10+ unique attack animations.
>weak second half
Consecrated Snowfield is merely a skippable part. Haligtree and Farum Azula are as good as earlier areas.
>too difficult / unbalanced
Bosses are balanced around the fact casual players use spirit summons. Boss speed and aggression are necessary for 2vs1. The completion rate for Elden Ring is high for such a long game.
>repeated mobs
While valid criticism, there are few open world games on the market with a more extensive list of mobs than Elden Ring. A comparison with prior Dark Souls, Skyrim, RDR2, Nioh or BoTW ends heavily in favor of Elden Ring.
>generic dungeons
Filler dungeons, while mediocre, are no worse than industry standards - Skyrim crypts or BoTW shrines. Some offer a decent puzzle or layout. All are optional, since main areas already offer 50+ playing hours.
>no longevity
Elden Ring has shown longevity unheard-of from single player games. Two months after release, it retains triple the player count of Skyrim at its launch.
>poor optimization for PC
Valid criticism.
>exploration is pointless
Objectively false. Getting Runes, Sacred Tears, Golden Seeds and Smithing Stones is necessary, regardless of your playstyle.
>few interactable NPCs
A design choice. Dark Souls worlds evoke melancholy, loneliness and nostalgia. Lived-in, harmonic settlements would counteract this despair, offering little more than window dressing. All the more effort went into designing, voicing and meaningfully writing the NPCs present.
>bad lore
VaatiVidya's "Elden Ring's Lore: Explained" video reached almost 3 million views within a week. More than any Skyrim lore video, 10 years after the game was released. Elden Ring lore is extremely captivating, for a large audience.
>game flopped
Elden Rings outsold DS 3 in 5 days.
