Why hasn't there been one good The Lord of The Rings game yet? For the father of the fantasy setting why is it so neglected?

Because it inspired games than are way better than anything that can be developer under the LotR license.

Nothing is better than the original source though, everything is just bootleg pretenders that trkes way too hard to be edgy and doesn't get what made Lord of the Rings truly unique.

LotRO is not bad. It is old as fuck but still decent.

Pretty much all the action games including Return of the King especially, RTS games, and Conquest, were great games, one of the few brands that have a good library of games, retarded underage.

In the Fellowship they added a whole stupid action scene with a collapsing staircase and cut most of Galadriel talking about the ring and presenting gifts to the Fellowship. Was that pointless (oh no the staircase is collapsing) action scene that important?
In Return of the King, Aragon's return as the king, jumping off the corsair ship with the banner of the king, is altered in favor of getting upstaged by Slimer from Ghostbusters.

possibly my objectively most played game of all time was LOTR Two Towers on GBA, cause it was one of the few games I owned for that system and you could play infinite new game+ across multiple character campaigns, so I ended up playing the Aragorn and Legolas campaigns through so many times with the best gear that I could one-shot uruk berzerkers

played that shit in the car for fucking years, man

Return of the king was good and The third age RPG was not awful all things considered. Like it at least had the decency to not take big dumps on the lore or anything. I do agree that most LOTR games are shit though like shadow of Mordor and shadow of war are plain simply insulting.
