I stand corrected, sychroclimb.dek or a degenerate archetype that somehow makes me wish I was sitting through synchroclimb.dek instead.

I was about to say it could basically just read "If you control a winged beast wind monster add infinite effect veilers to your hand until the end of the turn", but really it's better than that since it doesn't only affect monsters on the field, and can't be called by the grave.

Harpies have problems but the degenerate plays it has feel so fucking good. Pitching Hysteric Sign as cost for Droplet on your opponent's turn should be illegal but it's not.

I really wish there was a better way to search for hysteric sign. Being able to plus 2 like that and search a feather storm at the end phase is so satisfying

Unless you have something like protocol or use any effect that can't be negated, it's really a 100% shut down. Don't matter if is on field GY or ban.

i'm a fairly a beginner, so please bear with me if my take is retarded, is it really that good on crusadia as everyone making it out to be?.Assuming they have a negate on the board and in 90% of the time they will, the text says destroy which means you wont be able to use it unless you combo it with droplet or bait something else first(and crusadia can't afford to do that because all of them are combo pieces) so why not just add more kaijus and increase your chance to draw one ?

Master Duel is pretty casual. Not everyone has a spell negate ready 24/7. If you're worried about that then almost every single in the game other than kaijus are not worth using because it could just get negated. And yet most people don't even run a single kaiju in their decks because there are more things to worry about than Herald of Ultimateness. And if you can't afford to bait out a negate then you should be breathing a sigh of relief that your Kaiju Slumber gets negated by that Solemn Judgement instead of your combo starter.
No card is going to single-handedly win you the game against a powerful board.

Harpies end board is going into a infinite negate combo. They’re basically drytroons but worse. Don’t build them.

You live and die by the normal summon unless you run the Unexpected Dai variant but when Harpies pop off you can shut your opponent's board down and then swing with the Utopia OTK. Can also make Simorgh/Stormwinds and very few players know it's usually worse to pop Harpie backrows than leave them alone. Very volatile deck, not at all consistent but make no mistake, it can take games and is quite a bit better than usual in a Bo1 format.

harpie deck is basically those meme lockdown beatdown decks but more consistent and with actual support, it has consistency issues mind you but not as bad as jerry beans man beatdown does

I don't think I've ever seen a Harpie deck go into Apex Avian over Stormwinds. The former is probably better if you open Storm but an untargetable barrier statue can make your opponent throw their battle phase away which is REALLY GOOD as Simorgh very much fixes Harpies' consistency problems if it lives through your opponent's turn.

I'll keep an eye on them, I'm on a gem saving plan now so if I max them before Dinorphia or Labrynth come, I might build them. Though, Lyrilusc are also very cute.

So with how powerful Harpie's Feather Storm is do most harpie decks run trap trick, or do they have some other searcher?

Hysteric Sign can search it but a flaw of Harpies is that many of its searches are end phase searchers so, Sign included, so it can be a little slow. Trap Trick is a consistency booster and I personally run it at 2, but it's only any good going first and you're pretty much throwing away your chances of seeing another Storm if shit goes south from there. But yes, it's definitely an option.

I don't remember if I mentioned it in my last post but also consider using Archlord Kristya or Protecting Spirit Loageth as a one-of tech option. Kristya will straight up win you games and Loageth is a free banish and body on board.

Worrying much about lowering your chance to top deck something always feels silly in a game where you usually only get to draw 1-2 cards off the top of your deck past the first turn.

The gimmick will be that it's very slightly different than ranked, and you can't run your favorite deck, but you can get a bunch of gems.

What are some cool decks I can play in Synchro without investing in synchros? Been playing Psy-Frame cause I pulled it all when I built Time Thief but I'm bored and have some gems to burn on a new deck.

But yeah, if your opponent can play through the first Storm then there's a decent chance you've lost anyways. Another issue of Trap Trick though is that it is slower, you have to flip Trick on the first interaction then flip Storm subsequently, so if your opponent hits the ground running with Duster or wipes your field of Harpies on their first play then you're fucked.

Flip your interaction toggle to "On" instead of auto so you can flip them in the standby phase.
