What's his best song?
Honestly, I didn't like anything I've listened to so far. Please change my mind.

Young Americans in the credits of Dogville is the superior von Trier Bowie usage.
I like Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps), bonus points for Robert Fripp on lead guitar.
TVC15
for me its changes, quicksand, life on mars, space oddity, five years, moonage daydream, all the young dudes, alladin sane, subterranians, station to station, fame and ashes to ashes
The Man Who Sold the World but the Midge Ure cover.

The major-minor swings are pretty ingenious. The constant switches between them give a feeling of anxiety. It also plays to the time, when space exploration was all the rage.
Aw yiss finally a bowie thread, Yea Forums makes the best bowie threads Yea Forums is gay
Heart's Filthy Lesson is one of my favorites
They pulled in just behind the bridge
He lays her down, he frowns
Gee my life's a funny thing, am I still too young?
He kissed her then and there
She took his ring, took his babies
It took him minutes, took her nowhere
Heaven knows, she'd have taken anything
------
All the way from Washington
Her bread-winner begs off the bathroom floor
We live for just these twenty years
Do we have to die for the fifty more?
>he's got no style
>he's got no grace
What did David Bowie mean by this
FUCKING KINO

PFFFT BASED
Any of these:
>Ziggy Stardust
>Soul Love
>Station to Station
>Sound and Vision
>Young Americans
>Teenage Wildlife
but basically all of his 70's output is top-tier.
based take
Normally I never listen to any song that's over 5:00 unless it's a videogame track, but I truly enjoy Bring Me The Disco King.
I have no idea what it even means but I like singing along. And singing the entire thing feels very good too.
Like to couple it with Lazarus and Life on Mars when I'm on a bad day.
The man was a real legend.
Suffragette City
Word on a Wing is a huge highlight off one of my favorite albums Station to Station

Strangers When We Meet is one of his later ones I love.

Rock n Roll Suicide is one of my all-time favorites

Then there's Shadow Man. What a nice one. Makes me feel happy and sad at the same time. It's good shit, though I can see how it didn't end up on a main album.

I think Reality was supposed to be the last album he had in mind originally, so Bring me the Disco King was a neat goodbye to the fans. Definitely has that sense of finality. Originally he just wanted to stop and focus on raising his daughter. Heart attack in 2004 forced him into that retirement right near the end of the tour, only for him to decide to come back 10 years later with The Next Day. Like the other user said, Reality is fantastic. Lots of emotions went into it.
