I just wanted to say that I like Roll. And that as a character, Roll serves her purpose. She's pure cute fluff that makes the player a little more invested in the setting, by giving Rock a sweet little 'sister'. It helps set the tone of the story and humanizes Rock a little more.
There are plenty of fictional characters that serve a small, simple one-note purpose like this. It just so happens this one also has the element of being eye candy. But no matter the attention she gets and for what reason, her role in the games is valid and her existence is justified. The setting would be more flavorless and forgettable without her and characters like her.
General Mega Man thread I guess, though I wouldn't be surprised if this got deleted too.
I think Light robots would be warm to the touch. He's all about that human element. So he'd be constantly refining his creations to be more lifelike. Even a funny armored cat
>E-Tanks make robots drunk Really makes me see the games in a new light. Mega Man is running around getting so wasted he forgets previous damage and keeps blasting nonstop

I love the Zero games but I never replay them because I feel obligated to get A/S rank every time, so I can never relax while playing them like I do with X1~4. I wish there were a way to just turn the ranking system off because my 'tism won't allow me to simply ignore it

You ever play the old DS collection or the recent Legacy Collection? They both have a mode where you play through all four games, back to back, and your rank is permanently at A with everything already unlocked.
I was like that too, I found 3 and 4 to be a lot more lenient with the ranks, besides a few bullshit roadblock levels. I replay them every few months. Hard mode if a fucking travesty on the other hand.

Not worrying about rank makes the games way easier. Just use cheats to make everything always S

I had no idea. That's actually really good advice, thanks Boco.
Those modes also unlock everything and give you all the cyber-elves though, so it feels like cheating. I'm not the biggest fan of rankings, but I'd rather play with them on than start the game in basically god-mode.
Angel Sanchez
If it's made by Capcom, it's a solid and based game. Capcom only makes quality badass games.

>and give you all the cyber-elves Oh. That's unfortunate. Sparing me grinding out weapon proficiencies is one thing, but having all cyber elves activated is another. There's no way to play bare bones just without ranking?
Melee characters in run 'n' gun-esque games are always great. My one gripe with Powered Up is that her double attack is completely useless because you kill everything with a single hint anyway even on hard and bosses are completely unnafected by it.
Rock defeats Roll, gains her power. It's a plasma bristle broom that swings out like an axe and destroys/reflects projectiles. Sends her back to Light for repairs.
I just beat the Mega Man Zero games one after another, and I think from a stage/enemy design standpoint, 4 is actually the hardest. 1 is generally the easiest, like it has the easiest stages and the easiest bosses. The problem is all of a sudden at the very end it ends up having the hardest final boss in the series, in complete contrast to how easy the entire rest of the game is.

It's been so long since I played the Zero series it's tough for me to say which ones I found harder. I vaguely recall Phantom being a pain in the ass in 1, but the other guardians being pretty easy. With Harpuia's fight being the easiest.
No, Phantom's super easy too. He has like three attacks and he's just really simple to beat. Strictly speaking, Copy-X isn't that hard either, but because you have to fight both phases one after another it's tough. He's way harder than Elpizo and Omega because his second stage is all about limiting Zero's mobility. He's even worse if you're at A-rank or higher because his EX-Skill is pure bullshit. The worst thing about him of all, though, is that the beginning dialogue is unskippable. So every single time you die to him, you have to read through all that shit.
Speaking of which, Elpizo is easily the easiest final boss in the series, completely piss-simple. Omega's second. Weil is a little easier than Copy-X but way harder than the other two.
Ian Clark
4 has some tough bosses but I didn't find it too difficult, 3 is easy as shit but that's because I played it a million times over teehee. 2 always fucks me over when I try to replay it, the bosses especially feel so erratic. Also copy X makes me hard. His bossfight is gimmicky but satisfying.
He's harder in his rematch in Z3, but the problem is that fight takes place in Cyberspace meaning all those elves you've collected are gonna give you a massive boost.
