What can I say I'm hype that THE big 60 dollar game purchase for me for the year is gonna be playable on Deck. Long RPGs and handhelds are a match made in heaven.

I was talking to a friend of mine living in China about this, and his theory was a pretty good one. He thinks that Gaben wanted to literally take over the PC market in China by offering something handheld (to save space) and cheap and uniform, because that's the world's largest market for UMPCs, hands-down. But he got his shit slapped by Xi Jinping's GRORIOUS administration late last year when they put the pause button valve's operations and made it basically impossible for them to find partners within China or operate steam to any real degree.

I got mine 2 days ago and while its nice, you really need to carry the charger everywhere and be sure you'll be somewhere with a power outlet that you can use because a heavy game like elden ring will leave you with 1-2 hours of battery life. My deck dies after 3 hours of risk of rain 2 with everything on the lowest settings

It goes so much deeper. You mentioned Xi slapping down foreign investors and businesses. Many of those are directly connected to Jiang faction officials. If you've seen the corruption, the food being thrown out or left to rot. It's Jiang pissing on Xi because he fucked them, and then right after he fucked them he shoved a rusty dildo into the PAP's asshole. This further aggravated tensions. And now, here we are. Shanghai.

Interesting. I always gathered that Xi kind of resented Shanghai for many of the same reasons as HK, but I guess a lot of this makes sense now. Strangling out foreign investment has much more of an effect on Shanghai than it does others, and nobody is going to come to their aid like they would for HK.

I'm not there anymore. I was in Beijing for the first lockdown and was kept in place in my gated community for 8 months straight before they basically deported me. Not so bad because my boss loved me and got me full whack for doing shit all, and a few month's severance to leave on. Surreal as shit. I was one of the lucky ones though. Seeing what it's like in Shanghai now, it looks like more of the same, but...a lot more vicious. I've been telling everyone to make the move to Suzhou or Wuxi or something if they can, but travel was a bitch even BEFORE this, so a lot of them are just getting their three-day notices anyway to get the fuck out now.

An example in the US would be hurricane Katrina,which turned hundreds of miles into an American version of 'Stalker'. I'd recommend reading up on it if you never have. You'll at least get a chuckle or gasp from some of the stories.

Mod Organizer 2 doesn't work at all on the Steam Deck. If you bypass MO2 by installing all your mods manually, the screen will rapidly flash between the game window and the NVSE/F4SE console log window, and get stuck on it completely at random. There's no option to make the console log in Script Extender silent.

It's not tied to Windows, the devs are retarded and are doing some stupid shit with the graphics API. The Proton translation layer addresses that to fix the stutter, but Windows runs the game directly and suffers from the devs' stupidity.

I don't think so, it's just another PC and I don't think you can run the same game twice off of the same account. If the game is split-screen or some other form of co-op that runs on the same machine then you could presumably play it by streaming it to the Deck, but if it's LAN or internet co-op between 2 instances of the game then probably not.

Since you know so much about the Steam Deck that obviously means you own one, so tell us, what's the secret workaround to make Gamescope lock onto one window instead of switching to the last window to invoke a drawcall?
