Time Crisis 2 on PS2 was unreal

Today I will remind them.

GOAT. this was at one of those pizza arcades when I was a kid, first arcade game I ever beat. cost me probably 60 tokens.

Nothing better than going to the arcade and just punching the ever loving shit out of a game.

TIME EXTENDED

For me, growing up, it was this

Attached: image_2022-04-16_130819325.png (320x371, 87.25K)

>local arcade finally closed after the 'rona hit
goodbye old friend...

GO GO GO

>*CLACKCLACKCLACKCLACK*

Wheres DDR?

Can't beat the classics. Growing up in Portland and playing this game with some buds was super fun. Got a lot of headaches though, and we weren't able to find the game after it left. Still one of the greats.

Where do you find arcade nowadays?

>did some arcade research for a personal project recently
>come to this confusing revelation that I can't find any evidence of MvC2 getting an arcade release outside of Japan
>clearly remember playing a cabinet of the game at least once before
Did every arcade just import the Japanese game or something? Is there something to this game's history I might not know about?

Attached: dysfunctional luigi.jpg (252x252, 17.06K)

I got no clue. I found that exact cabinet in a shopping mall in Denver circa 2010.

Raaaad Hazard!

For me, it was the big Sega Rally 2 cab

There were plenty in Puerto Rico back in the early 00s.

TFW You'll never know the joys of playing DDR on a custom machine that randomly generates the arrows based on peaks in the audio files that you connected to it via your phone or mp3.

>using the bar
You didn't beat the game.

It's just an image I stole off google.

>animated violence mild
This should be enough proof the arcade game got a western release.

That hotd remake sucked, haven’t played the newest arcade one howevers.

The only Time Crisis that uses Unreal is 5, idiot

>This
>SIlent Scope series
>Police 911
Not only is this genre mostly dead but it's hard to enjoy it at its fullest without original hardware.

This seems rad.

DAMN THE TORPEDOES!

>Be 7 or 8
>Have mom that worked at a local restaurant/pizza joint
>Place had Hydro Thunder, Capcom vs. SNK 1, and a couple of pool tables
>Had to go there every day after school until she got off work
Shit was kino

I'll save my quarters, thanks. Got the arcade experience™ at home

>Literally built to leech off quarters
Yes, along with every other machine under the same roof. Owners could make games harder with dip switches

Loved it, simple as. One of the best.
Did this game ever have a different chair? Could have sworn I played this game around the year 2000, somewhere in Massachusetts. I thought it was called SFX racer or something similar.

No, this is a special case for this
youtube.com/watch?v=KOpHP8f5SCQ
This is the entire gameplay. Notice that the bosses are fair until the goddamn crab. Final boss is also bullshit but its the final boss so its excused

This game enjoyed 2 years of being the most fun skateboarding game 1997-1999

Legit the most fun arcade game to co-op with. So many great times at my shitty local mall.

is it practical to buy an arcade machine like this? id imagine its akin to owning a grand piano or something equally large

there was this arcade I used to go to that had an anime girl with fat tits on it, alongside a xbox 360 and a ps3
im surprised its still open to this day

Depends on the square footage of your home and the price. If you have the room and the money and you love the game that much, yeah.

Hello fren, are you me? This, Virtual On and X-men were my favorite as kids but it was so fun to drive and shoot in this game.

>Practical
Never, you do it because you're obsessed. If you want practical, buy (or build) a MAME controller

Do you have any idea when gamepro magazine published the illustrated maps for every level of this game? With all of the shortcuts? I'm trying to find that issue.

MAME will never replicate something like Time Crisis 2

>Top Skater

>Ollie King
based

Not in the least, maybe some hero dumped them on archive.org
The wiki starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Abyss_(Ord_Ibanna) seems like the maps are from scans, they're inconveniently on different pages, but might fit the bill

TC2 has a near perfect PS2 port that supports iLink for 2 player, 2 screen co-op, and even has an emulated version of Quick and Crash.

>Ollie King
Downhill racer after THPS existed? Irrelevant

i remember gameworks in vegas had this for a while.
looked cool but it was actually pretty shitty.

i dont care, i want to stand there with my cool gun and pedal in front of a giant cabinet

this was just a money hog

I've always wanted to play one of these co-op beat em ups like Simpsons/TMNT/X-Men with a full player count but at best I could only get three

Attached: 1647766733116.jpg (3024x4032, 3.17M)

Not with a 4 fren squad who were good.

There's a bar near me that has House of the Dead. Been going there nearly every week for the past two-three months getting all the top scores.
Last month I found out dual-wieldng actually makes the game easier until Magicianwhen I 1cc'd it first try
Wish all the other arcades in my area would stop closing

>have this for ps1
>no clue where I got it
weird seeing shuma gorath in a movie trailer when this is the only reason I know anything about him

>get into shmups
>impressed with their gameplay and graphics
>get even deeper into shmups
>realise its a waste to play for score or even survival
