My first playthrough I got the black knight halberd really early from the forest area so the entire game was a cakewalk. I do remember this boss being a little annoying though because the hitbox was shit and it kept pushing you around.

Finish the DLC and then go fight Sif, the cutscene changes pretty significantly

The wolf's motivation to fight you was slightly more noble than demons sitting in a foyer waiting to attack you.

It feels a lot more poignant if you played the DLC and found Sif, otherwise it's literally "not the hecking puperino"

Rot lady is a separate sidequest in an entirely different area, likely that part of the map you haven't unlocked yet up north, and Maliketh is waiting for you up ahead.

They aren't that bad, if you don't try to fight all of them at once. The fat swamp fucks in Demons were much worse, easily the most cancerous enemy in From's history, aside from everything in ER.

If you have both halves of the Haligtree Medallion, go back to the Rold Lift you used to get to the Giant's Mountaintop and you should be able to toggle the option to use the medallion.

People like sif for the story implication, just cause you didn’t relate to it doesn’t make it stupid. Many people have dog companions and often wonder what their best friend would do if they (themselves) died. It’s a selfish fantasy in retrospect as you would never want a friend to mourn you until their own demise. Regardless it’s a good touch to the overall story and helps contribute to Artorias being more than an angry corrupted entity.
