Master Duel Thread
Just dealt with this guy in the synchro deck. I deleted his Raviel twice and then he surrendered, the poor bastard.
Probably because he used his two Dark Summoning Beasts and really had no plan beyond that despite having over 12,000 life points.
I respect pet decks but man take your fucking lumps.
Yeah but for collection purposes, im not buying three copies of ash and chamber
why is this monster so erotic?
What does the retrain say or is it just alt art?
Buoyancy is important for water monsters
Although she has big boobs this piece of clothing makes them look bigger by making her waist appear thinner.
Lmao no but i'm considering collecting some of the core cards i use on my MD decks
It's a retrain.
You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 "Umi" in your GY; add it to your hand. You can target 1 WATER monster in your GY; apply 1 of these effects, but you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except WATER monsters.
● Until the End Phase, this card's Level and name become that monster's.
● If "Umi" is on the field, Special Summon that monster in Defense Position.
You can only use each effect of "Yorishiro of the Aqua" once per turn.
>there is new vendread support
>half of it is excellent, the other half is wasted ink
Why are they like this? This isn't even a TCG thing anymore these are OCG cards
what card is literally (you) user?
I have been wondering, with cards that have "when" in their effects, in order to not miss the timing the effect should be the last one or the first one in a chain?
what card is this asking for a friend
I technically got into yugioh again because of MD. I heard about it when it had no release date and got tired of waiting when I got that itch to get back into the game. Watched a shitton of videos to relearn how to play, played the shit out of EDO to practice, and then dumped a couple hundred bucks into singles and a couple boxes for fun only to have no one to play with and my locals were fucking cucks about masks so said fuck that. I like shiny cardboard.
Master Duel players are by and large absolute retards to me compared to people playing TCG.
Last thing in chain.
Maiden of the Aqua.
I am suddenly thirsty
Being first or last should be okay most of the time. If something happens as the "when" condition is checked, then you'll miss timing.
It doesn't have anything to do with the chain, really. Yeah for most of them, being the first thing in the chain to occur will be enough (because the chain resolves Last-In -> First-Out). But the reality is that with "when" effects, they have to be the last thing to occur period, so if a card says "Special Summon one Machine monster from wherever, then lose 500 LP" you are out of luck because you lost LP after you summoned Recycler so he missed timing.
started today and I started building Fire Fists. big mistake?
built flower cardians irl
If it's effect activated then it's already not gonna miss timing.
There just aren't a lot of relevant card that miss timing nowadays
That's very complicated, I guess is better if I just don't use it in chains, even though it would be cool if I could.
Adventurer token, and the Aquamancer is (you)r canon love interest
>Master Duel players are by and large absolute retards to me compared to people playing TCG.
Keeping track of every OPT and GY effect already demans more brain. People here often forgets the imperm column, imagine the opponent too
Yeah, but sometimes I really need recycler, but always end up missing the timing and fucking everything up.
Fuck that bitch. The Goblin Attack Force can have her.
Yeah and no. They're a fun deck and can make use of modern cards to make some plays, but they're noticeably worse than most things on ladder.
My advice if you don't know what to do: build a meta deck, I suggest tri brigade zodiac, and play that until you feel like you understand the deck and the way the game works. This will give you a good deck to both climb the ladder and farm gems with, and also help you understand what makes a deck fundamentally good and how to properly interact with your opponent. Then since you already have a good deck, spend gems building whatever the hell you want.
Don't feel bad about wasting currency or anything so far. The game is very lenient and you can easily have 4-5 decks with the starter gems and the events they roll out
What do you do to have that happen?
i considered it but my country uses ocg ruleset which means nipnong cards only and yugioh rule is too nuanced to be playing without a simulator while having to look up every card's text and it would be tedious as well
>finally done with synchro event
>only used loaner decks because fuck spending gems
Christ that was worse than the NiggeR event. Synchro summoning is so lame. Had boards full of useless shit and couldn't summon more than stardust dragon or crystal wing. Do they seriously expect people to know how to do this shit? Fuck.
I know and I don't care, I'll defile those boobs and her mouth too
You just have to be aware of wordings and the interactions of stuff on the board. Test stuff in a sim before putting it into practice in a real duel so you know if it works or if it only works a specific way so you don't do it wrong in a real duel. Of course the reality is most decks don't have cards that do this anymore, but if you want to play something that does you have to know what you're doing.
I have no intention to play irl ever again, but I kinda want to at leats buy one of each of my new favorite cards just for collections
Then I realized how expensive Evil Twin stuff is, Trickstar is cheap and Rikka has no reprints
If modern ygo is having to watch solitarie fags irl i hard pass, but i still want merch from cute cards like that one Haine stand
Just make sure the summoning of recyclers is the very last thing to happen. If you have a card that summons him, that card being anything other than chain link 1 will make him miss timing.
Also look up problem solving card text, the way cards are worded also influence if something can miss timing or not.
For example
>summon recyclers, THEN lose 500 LP
Misses timing
>summon recyclers AND lose 500 LP
Does not
I'm not reading all that.
Missing the timing is fucking retarded, they should just retcon the thing and errata any card that becomes a problem.
Missing the timing is a cool way to balance a card and Konami should use it more to restrict degeneracy
Oh, ok, that makes sense, thanks!
Usually when I try to summon it with Scrap wyvern, but going by the explanation I think those 2 just dont work together.
Missing the timing adds depth to the game, retard. Go back to Magic.
And most decks don't need to, but don't come crying to me if you copy Contact's effect with a Darklord monster to summon Superbia and he doesn't revive something.
>Do they seriously expect people to know how to do this shit?
The loaner decks are good, but are missing a few key cards in their combos. Synchro summoning is very precise, so one useless card can be the difference between a board full of tuners and 4 omninegates and blazar. Because of this the loaner decks have a much lower ceiling than normal.
>You can target 1 "Scrap" monster in your GY; Special Summon it, then destroy 1 card you control.
Yeah, the THEN in the card text will make recycler miss timing every time
>Do they seriously expect people to know how to do this shit?
Yes the combo isn't that hard, you just lack vision. The stardust loaner could easily dumpster virtual worlds and adamancipators provided they didn't draw any handtraps. I made disgusting end boards with majestic and blazar dragon
>WHEN
AAAAAAAAAAAH
This shit never activates even tho I discard every turn, as a cost.
Why is she killing herself?
She turned 30 and her value as a woman depleted to nothing.
Ixchel is some mesoamerican goodness of suicide
>Aruru can bounce your kaiju back to your hand
Man Aruru is a good card isn't she
Discard her and other Darklord to draw 2
Ixtab is the goddess of suicide, after all. Every time someone ropes, it feeds her.
Old card is old.
While we're discussing missing the timing, in the N/R event I had someone do the cactus scorpion combo to me, while I had torrential tribute set. I let them do it because I knew I could just flip torrential on the token summon if they went past 50 destructions. But then they flipped Level Limit Area A. Turns out torrential is a "when" trigger, and this locked me out of using it so I lost because I wanted to let them win.
>muh depth
Maybe that'd matter if the game was actually designed properly, but it's not and you're a moron if you think such a restriction enhances a game that lets you vomit out a board of boss monsters and omni-negates out on the field in a turn.
>Trannys singelhandely resurrecting a maya goddes
Discard as cost can't trigger cuz it misses timing. Discard as maintenance seems to work though. The discard has to be the last thing that happened.
cope harder, magicuck
I've had the game randomly not allow me to flip Torrential
Like I get why it doesn't work on Accesscode even though that shit is turbo gay but there's been other times my activation was set to Auto/On and they've summoned shit and I've just not gotten a prompt at all
Is there another thing I can use Drytrons as an engine for besides Herald?
Most Ritual decks.
>Any good ones?
When they give Nekroz some more support, yeah.
Nekroz.
fuck of drytranny, go play your solitaire garbage somewhere else
Megaliths. They're actually pretty hostile as generic ritual support since they don't mesh well with any other archetypal engines
Drytron+Megalith was the next goto option after Eva got hit in the TCG, IIRC
hungry burger turbo
The drytron ritual spell seems useful for a fuckton of rituals. I dunno, I don't really play rituals.
What are you even doing in dryton nekroz? Unicore arebhair pass?
Isnt the problem with Drytrons that it ends on an annoying board with negates? Super Quantals have longer turn times but people dont cry about that.
Fuck that unfunny meme. Come ride with me, brother!!
Don't be ridiculous. It's Unicore/Catastor pass, with maybe another monster on the field.
Unicore being a Skill Drain to ED stuff is pretty decent. Clausolas is also a targeted negate and of the Drytron rituals is pretty good removal.
Rituals might have been the worst designed card type. They are inherently so minus in card advantage and a ton of the early ones are so dog shit.
To be fair, fusions were as bad back then.
>Opponent dwindled me down to 1 field spell, 3 bricks in hand
>He has 3 backrow, 2 synchros and 4 cards in hand
>I top deck a Kaiju and give him turtle replacing his Omni negate
>"NOOOOO!!! NOT MY HECKIN NEGATEARINO!!!!! I MUST HAVE CONTROL OVER WHAT YOU PLAY AT ALL TIMES!!!! ITS SCARY TO PLAY WITHOUT MY ENDLESS NEGATES!!! MOMMY!! MOMMY!!!! I'M SCARED!!!! SCOOP!! SCOOP!!!! SCOOOOOOP!!!!"
>Victory opponent surrendered
What a total fucking faggot
Don't insult my waifu Mystical Sand, bro
Fusions were never "as bad" as rituals because fusions were never in the main deck.
Fucking KEK, good on you user. Fuck these whiners.
Yeah, once I found out you had to have both the spell and monster in hand it put me off using rituals.
>Do they seriously expect people to know how to do this shit?
Eh not really. Just look up a quick combo guide to get the gist of it since it is a lot of random shit to sift through, and that's if they don't negate anything. Everybody's looked up guides at some point, I guarantee it, so don't feel bad.
You need the specific ritual spell, the monsters, and the materials.
Fusions only required you the materials and the generic fusion spell.
Yes, but you needed two specific monsters to summon the fusion, while rituals only needed a sum of levels. But I do agree that having rituals in the main deck is a huge disadvantage.
Well the spell and material I was alright with, its more so the monster as well. I feel like the mechanic should have been moved to the extra deck a long time ago.
Why are rituals in the main deck anyway?
???
I didn't spend a single gem on the event. Just loaded my regular deck, removed the banned cards and played regularly. I got like a 10 win streak.
