lol I almost got Placidusax on my first try too, his phase change gets a little bullshit with the teleports but the attacks are all standard ancient dragon shit for the most part.

I know this is bait but at least the ones that stand out are Godfrey, Morgott, FAMILY GUY, Radagon + Elden Beast, and the Godskins as well as I guess Radahn for that not-raid battle. The rest are fairly unremarkable/typical Fromsoft's Soul style.

You must be using ranged attacks or watch tutorials before the fight. There is no indication for melee users. And the death laser comes as his next move.

No I was running pure Strength with my trusty boulder hammer. He did a teleport away I think, because once the light show started he had a fair bit of distance. Still nothing compared to Midir.

Elden Beast, Placi, Radahn, and Morgott are all stand-out excellent bosses. The rest of the main bosses are all very good in general.

Unless he noscopes you with his fucking laserbeam.
If he missed you with that, you win the fight. If he hits you with it, you lose the fight. It's a long, drawn out attack and for the first 10 seconds of it, it looks like he's not going to hit anywhere near you until it lances up and through your body.

Aside from Malenia. Mastering Malenia was the only fun fight in the game for me.

Even worse than having forgettable generic bosses is repeating them a dozen times a piece. Fights like misbeegotten warrior & crucible knight aren't bad on their own if they were just done once. They're pretty generic and forgettable but fighting them again a dozen times again or putting 2 meh bosses together to make a ganksquad is when it gets painfully obvious how little worthwhile content this game actually has. It's a shame since the actual highlight bossfights are some of the most impressive from has done yet in the same game you have so many low points.

Astel is made so much less memorable because oops there's a second one in a cave in buttfuck nowhere
