Even if Nintendo tried to stop them, all they could reasonably do is prevent it from being bundled with a model of Krystal. There's nothing stopping the mod author from releasing a voice replacement mod.

honestly i think one of the big problems with shitty krystal models is the people who want to go far enough to make/insert them into games are fucking autists without enough creative ability to do it right but have all the autistic drive to try to do it anyway

This is literally the only series in gaming that I want to see try a more realistic approach

Apparently warfaremachine's busted-as-hell looking 2018(2016?) model was used due to him properly rigging it for facial capture in the Source Engine, a process which was apparently SO terribly arduous that he considered it the worst thing he's ever had to endure throughout his ongoing career as an artist (so far). As such, he absolutely refuses to suffer through rigging his considerably better-looking 2020 rendition of the character.
This is according to the mod's creator (not the same person who made the model), who swung by one of these threads during the early morning hours yesterday. Re-rigging the better 2020-era model for accurate facial expression capture is beyond their skillset, as they remarked.
Real shame, as the kinda amateurish look to Krystal's design is the only real knock against the mod many have expressed, but it presumably can't really be helped in this instance.

Thing is you could easily edit the model but in that mod, the person that imported got fucking everything wrong right down to the texture maps and materials.

If it's a magical curse it could look like either parent.
If we factor in genetics, probably a mix of both parents, and since it's fantasy, they could probably be fertile.
Although, even if we count in genetic modification of humans to look like animals, the loci would more or less be the same and they would still be fertile.
