youtu.be
felt like a school shooter
I just listen to vidya OSTs or stuff by The Living Tombstone. "Real" music on the radio is fucking gay
The games soundtrack
not ska that's for sure
what's wrong with it
Vidya music
Go back
Nothing. I'm playing a game that already has music and dialog. why would i distract myself with shitty
>ayo yoooo yoooo dat hoe be tripping, get money, get money, ayo, bet
or
>*screaming* satan is good satan is my friend, I'm so evil rawr
or
>my truck done died, my wife done left me, all i got is my farm and my dog, and a country boy will survive
music is commercialize garbage
I listen to youtube videos in the background. It's a habit that started before youtube was even a thing, I would play some game on the PC while the TV would run behind me. Had a mirror that I played in such a way I could watch the TV while on the PC.
Either ambient
youtube.com
or War metal

Depends on my mood but generally power metal open.spotify.com
Country music when playing Fortnite
Got a good kek out of me but I get the feeling that this is not an ironic post.
depends on what im playing, if im raiding or something where theres not much talking and just playing some metalcore or hardstyle, if im playing with people and talking often some lofi or minimal trance
*grabs you by the collar*
you want to repeat that, fucker?
Driftveil City
A lot of different electronica/rock, last thing I was listening to was this
youtube.com
Sidenote, the channel isn't the same artist as the song, they have the most generic band name in existence and get miscategorized everywhere. But their sound is so cool.
*tips fedora
this unless is multiplayer or grinding
i listen to fart music while playing arcade games
Most of the time it's the in-game music. If I'm on a repeat playthrough or the music isn't important otherwise, I usually throw on some podcast or something else I can use for background noise. When I listen to music, I want to enjoy it, and I won't if I'm too focused on vidya.
Anyway, that's a cool album OP.
Usually this unless its like Forza Horizon 5 with no rock radio.
I listen to music while playing videogames so I can double up on my own thought suppression
point/counterpoint is a GOAT song
ska sucks
>pic rel
BA BA BA BASEDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
ska is what hipsters listen to when they think they're tough
to this day I tear up like a bitch at "if only for memories" especially the extra verse in the solo version
>You'll hold them up, you'll hold them up
>And everybody else should fall to the wayside
>There is no end no beginning
>On this merry-go-round we call living
>Someday you will return, every single ounce of the love you were given.
Based pick even if I think Somewhere in the Between is a bit better
If I'm playing a game where the music isn't a huge part of the experience or something really grindy then I'll throw on whatever I've been into lately. Portugal. the Man and Pup have been in heavy rotation these days
kino bait
My favorite album is "All Communists Deserve Death"
Got into jap jazz fusion not to long ago, seems to help with irritating games.
Currently been listening to pic related, didn't know Blue Öyster Cult was still around, but this shit is banging.
Depends on the mood of the day and the game Im playing
It has to be a really fucking weird scenario where I don't just listen to the actual soundtrack. Even when a game allows for a custom soundtrack I tend to just keep the standard soundtrack. I think EXVS is the only game where I replaced the soundtrack, and in that case I just slapped in more mecha songs.
Absolute shit taste.
I'm busting out Eurobeat while playing racing games, makes experience 100% better:
youtube.com
usually post-punk, noise rock or prog
ska does mostly suck but streetlight transcends the genre
not that big into war metal but ill give you an OUGH brother
What am I supposed to tell people when they ask what kind of music I like?
I only really listen to vidya OSTs and pro wrestling entrance themes. I used to say "everything except rap and country" but they usually press further and I don't have an answer for them
You are incredibly wrong.
You're supposed to develop a taste user. Genuinely.
Why the fuck would I listen to music while playing games.
Either find some normie bands that you enjoy that you can use as a smokescreen or just straight up say vidya music.
Her
If you're listening to NES/SNES era then you could probably say prog rock. There's a reason we constantly talk about prog on this board. Vidya took a lot of influences from it.
I was really surprised how good this album turned out. I was so used to revival albums being almost 100% crap.
Indeed, it manages to be shit even by ska standards.
>hating ska
Imagine
But to answer the OP I just listen to the game's soundtrack. Whether it ends up good is another thing entirely, but other music often takes me out of it.
*rips your checkered tie off and spits on it*
ska is so fucking gay. literal fedora music lmfao
Everything from Iron Maiden to this sweet Stevie Nicks ballad.
youtube.com
Ska and ska punk are not the same thing and madness literally sounds like the U WOT M8 meme turned into a song
/thread
>Oh, you listen to progressive rock? Me too. I've been getting into Can lately, Future Days is my recent favourite album. What kind of prog do you listen to?
>Ahaha... Final Fantasy 2's soundtrack, I guess...
>ska, prog, jazz in the same thread
the time has come
youtu.be
This really. Other music just distracts me or makes me look for a certain vibe.
for me? it's acid jazz
Oh man acid jazz is underrated as hell
I never listen to music while gaming it ruins the experience, only the game’s music for me. Unless I’m playing like a MOBA or grinding in an MMO, in that case I always listen to grunge/indie rock shit or prog/psych
Progbrothers, it's time to take the zeuhl pill.
Mostly the game's soundtrack but if I replay it I mostly just listen to ambient music or instrumental ebm.

vocaloid
You can't tell me shit like this wouldn't be at home on any prog album in the 70s
youtube.com
Also literally everything Tim Follin shit out was a prog masterpiece. Like Jethro Tull and Yes had a baby. Hell, maybe user would actually like the old stuff.
