If you've played Royal you would see how Strikers awkwardly dances around subjects which would confirm or deny Royal's canonicity (in regards to the characters new endings), they even admitted they went over to the game to make sure there were no contradictions with Royal (and as a result there isn't actually any contradictions with Royal), so it can reasonably follow either

I plat this game on PS4 and I can confirm it's the weakest 3D Persona to date filled to the brim with bloat and it loves to drag on and on and on. I'd rather have Bloodborne so I can replay an actually good game at a rock solid 60 fps.

According to the nvidia leak and datamines of the switch version it'll get one eventually, that said it emulates perfectly already but on the other hand it might have new content when they do a port since atlus tends to do that, so I'd just wait.
