Has any other game managed to capture the feeling of a grand adventure as well as Elden Ring?

a toss-up between assassin's creed odyssey and valhalla, i'd say.

Nice cherrypicking. Meanwhile, in reality...

Baldur's Gate 2.

>feeling of a grand adventure
>let me rush to the next grace so I don't lose all my runes to the bs mobs

Morrowind is still the top in this regard

Can y'all make one for DeS and DaS?

DeS already exists but it uses cutscenes

elden ring isn't an adventure game
it's an arcade fighting game/platformer.

Warcraft III and Skyrim, the greatest games of all time

although this one is half and half

>remake
Disgusting.

>muh clouds

bait but that's the original

Are you retarded?

Ok lads I'm gonna get this game soon, what's the most fun build? I kinda wanna be a bad ass wizard but it always ends up being not that fun in most games

Odyssey was great too yeah
I'd still say elden ring has done it the best by a lot

unbalanced disaster

>Are you retarded?

>deliberately chooses overcast weather or dawn/dusk time lighting

Nice dishonest collage there.

not sure what you mean by "being not fun", but wizards are not only viable but pretty easy & viable in elden ring. the casting system is pretty dated desu but it works well enough and the spells are fun to use i think. really whatever you're feeling like from being a lightning nigga to an archer nigga to a reaper nigga all works and is viable and generally fun.

the user that made the modded one is the same user that made the unmodded one
he's a faggot and keeps posting the modded one with the camera mod as if the game actually looks like that

Rain World
Gothic I/II
Morrowind
Metroid Prime
Shadow of the Colossus
Fallout 1/2
Dark Souls
Journey
Chrono Trigger
Various Zelda games

tome

The only grand adventure in that game is the futile quest of trying to find content that wasn’t copy/pasted 60 times.

> oh yay it’s catacomb
> oh neat it’s the same boss as last time but with more health
> ooh they pulled out all the stops and pasted 2 of them here

>grand adventure
>spend most of the time fast-traveling through loading screens
it's just another ubisoft clone with better combat and dungeons, nothing more.

The only time I did that was towards the end where I'd found everything.

>Elden Ring is...LE BAD
Get new material.

>grand adventure

yeah running into copy pasted catacombs and caves for 100 hours is the epitome of adventure. dont forget the copy pasted enemies from limgrave all the way up to the hailgree and mountaintops of the giants.

The first 5 years of Final Fantasy XI were some of the best in gaming history, unfortunate that we can't go back

Uh oh the shazamtroons are mobilizing

>criticize any aspect of the game one bit
>"you...le hate the game!"

why do frondrones suffer from brain rot

This game is boring. Quit right after Margit.

Didn't XIV manage to recapture some of the magic?

Absolutely not. FFXI was a product of its time, created in a world where voice chat was not really a thing and everyone still communicated primarily only in-game and through text. The world was incredibly harsh and beat your ass if you didn't know what you were doing. There weren't really any guides, datamining wasn't really a thing and most of the game features were server-side and couldn't be datamined anyway. You had to group and make friends to make any progress and experience any of the story but once everything clicked it was a pretty magical experience. Games just aren't designed like this anymore, mainly because technology has advanced but also corporations have found better ways to monetize their audiences.

Are you able to turn off that stupid compass at the top of the screen?

Yes

Should I buy Elden Ring?

Based RW fag

>Dragons Dogma
Though with the absolute amount of dying and the fact that the story is presented so sparingly, I slowly started to feel like ER was an arcade game instead.

Best game I've ever played. No one game has or likely ever will capture the feeling of trekking through an alien and hostile world like Rain World does.

Attached: Rain World The Wall.png (1920x1080, 1.9M)

got to caelid, game is getting boring, what do i do

yes, Dark Souls 1.

uninstall after Leyndell, game drops the ball hard after Morgott

holy mother of kino... Instant flashbacks to DS1

Come home...

Attached: Elden Ring Cinegrid.jpg (5760x3240, 2.49M)

the art direction is superb, probably the best FromSoft has ever done, but the rest of the game sucks dick.

only the snow areas are cancer fag Farum is pure kino unless you're crying about the difficulty

Filtered

megadimension neptunia vii

Farum looks really good but I was pretty much done with the game after Godskin Duo, almost ruined the game for me.

mfw I did a single ultragreatsword build without any buffs or proper talismans and needed like 40 tries to kill radagon cuz I was only doing 450 damage... all because I never played DS2 and got punished for not knowing what powerstance was

morrowind isnt even the top in elder scrolls category retard, not even top2. stop nostalgiaposting about that dead and boring game.

Played the Todd Scrolls games in release order a few years ago. Morrowind feels like a true adventure in every way.
Morrowind > Skyrim > Oblivion

I want to play the version of Elden Ring that actually feels like an adventure.

You want a souls game with a pointless open world and copypasted content as far as the eye can see? If your answer is yes, then go ahead and purchase the game.

>pointless
>copypasted content
You have not played the game.

We're getting dlc rainbros, the long march is coming to an end

Attached: 1613695120548.jpg (1235x647, 102.57K)

Do we know what it entails yet? Is it a full blown new area to play through?

Try again.

Bruh more than that

Breaking New Ground to Explore - With ten expansive regions across thousands of new maps, environments, and weather to survive and discover

Five Additional Characters - All with unique abilities, skillsets, gameplay style, and stories
Challenge Mode - Put your survivability to the test in multiple pre-constructed arena scenarios, adapting to each room as the difficulty increases

Safari Mode - Observe an ecosystem unfold! Revisit areas once explored safely through the eyes of an observer - control and play as other creatures in the game to influence the scene.

Sounds amazing. When is it coming out and is it free?

open world was 100% pointless I agree with him and I like the game.

soon and lmao

>Fallout 2
>cruising across the wastes in an atomic powered Christine
