It's going to be Troy Baker and you're going to like it

MP1 Max looked like Johnny Knoxville to me.

What was the last major game Troy Baker was even in? Death Stranding? Felt like he was everywhere 2010-2015 and then just disappeared.

Except it was Sam Lake.

Don't lie, user. You just want Sam Lake for the SFM porn.

tlou2 as a big charcter
though he voices a lot of NPCs that tend to go unnoticed in other video games.

>Switchable models between games on the fly
>same with the physics, weapons, enemy roster, old and new graphic engine or gameplay mechanics.
>Editor tools
>BTS mode with Lake's sexy accent talking about the game while you are playing.
>Multiplayer
>Extras with art, cut content, photo gallery, interviews...
>GBA's Max Payne included
I'll now buy your remake.

unironically you might send this list to remedy. they are in very early pre production

>>same with the physics, weapons, enemy roster, old and new graphic engine or gameplay mechanics.
seeing as how its a remake and not a remaster, this will be too hard to pull off and not worth their time probably.

They have to do something considering this remake is totally worthless.

There were Sam Lake model in third game, so I guess we will get it.

Attached: wack him.jpg (1920x1080, 670.36K)

How tall is him?

him is 5'10

no way

They will add him as an 'alternative meme face' outfit
you will see

I'm with you

>Rockstar
Good joke. As much as I love Remedy, Rockstar are the ones that hold the leash for this.

I'd kill for half that shit (including the behind the scenes stuff) to be included, but expect this to be a straight HD port that is competent ONLY because Remedy did the work and not Grove Street or whatever Rockstar's mobile studio is calling itself after the dismal GTA ports.

Should be James McAffrey

Like in Max Payne 3

I hope it's good

I really miss that gametrailers.com GTTV feature about the development of Max Payne 3; it's amazing how games were already made a decade ago

Does anybody have it or know where to find it?

He's over 60 years old now. Voice yes, model no.

Male him digitally younger

>Voice yes
I have heard the guy in Control. You can hear the age in his voice. As much as I love the Max Payne games, it's time for new voice talent.

Why would they record new voice work? Makes no sense.

Because it's a remake, not a remaster.

Right, well I hope they know what they are doing. It's already perfect so it could only get worse imo.

It being a remake wouldn't keep them from remastering and using the original voice work.

It absolutely would.
>remaster: take what you have and update it
>remake: something you know, but remade from the ground up

>Rockstar are the ones that hold the leash for this
Rockstar is holding the leash since MP2, yet MP2 got modding tools. So it's Remedy call to not include even simple level editor for any of their game after MP2

Voice acting doesn't need to be completely redone for a remake you dunce, they just have to take the original voice files and remaster them.

Do you think Rockstar greenlit this because they got cold feet from the trashfire that was GTA Definite Trilogy?

I feel they maybe assumed GTA was untouchable, and now they saw their golden goose bleed. GTAO will remain massive of course, but GTAVI is probably 2 years away at least, Bully 2 got cancelled (supposedly) and RDR2 Online is a flop. Are they trying to diversify their portfolio to avoid an Activision-Blizzard situation?

They won't, because it's a remaster and not a remake, you dullard.

You may not like this, but they will most likely cut, add or alter scenes, so new voice lines will have to be added.

>Demon's Souls
>Resident Evil 2
>Resident Evil 3
>Tomb Raider
>Shadow Warrior
>Mafia
Face it, the audio will be brand new.

>original voice files
Questions is if they still have them. There was no official patch from them to fix sound issues or add widescreen support, so I'm wondering if they still have the source code.

>I feel they maybe assumed GTA was untouchable, and now they saw their golden goose bleed.
Despite all the shit it got, the recent Definitive Editions apparently still managed to sell around ten million copies. Not much blood there.

why did this only got one good game and nothing but garbage sequels?

I'm pretty sure the devs just got fans to make the sequels/expansions for them.

haha but why?
Painkiller had potential to be the next serious sam

>Despite all the shit it got, the recent Definitive Editions apparently still managed to sell around ten million copies. Not much blood there.

I don't just mean in pure sales, but reception and player retention as well. Battlefield 2042 also had a massive launch day, but now the game is almost completely dead and EA is doing massive restructuring.

Most of what you listed are full-on re-imaginings, not just remakes, and Shadow Warrior was blatant reboot that has little to do with the original.
There are a number of remakes that still use the original audio, just remastered, like the Destroy all Humans and Spongebob remakes. At this point there's no reason to think this project will be any different, especially with how iconic some of the original VA work is, warts and all.

>Most of what you listed are full-on re-imaginings, not just remakes
Which is exactly what remakes are. I get it, you don't want to be wrong and you cling to what you know, but at this point you're only arguing for the sake of arguing.

Probably a case where the top devs got a taste of success and made a bunch of stupid decisions because they had no quality financial people employed telling them what to do.

I'll just keep playing the ones I have

>Do you think Rockstar greenlit this because they got cold feet from the trashfire that was GTA Definite Trilogy?
Nah, they don't give a shit about stuff like this. It's almost a decade after Max Payne 3 garbage, so I'm guessing it is related to trade mark renewal.

I don't think those are very comparable. One is a multiplayer game designed and financed with the intention of having a lasting presence, and the other is a handful of "remakes" where the publisher only expected a surge of sales close to release.

At the end of the say most GTA fans are low IQ anyway, and will eat up whatever Rockstar/Take-Two decides to spit out next. I think the latest version of GTAV having decent sales already prove this.

IT'S PAYNE!

WHACK THE SUCKA

>Which is exactly what remakes are.
What kind of autism is this. I just gave you examples that prove otherwise.
Pic related is also considered a remake, but still uses assets from the original game (with remastered audio) on a new engine. Same goes for the Wonderboy: Dragon's Trap remake that lets you toggle back-and-forth between the original visuals and music and the remastered variants.

There isn't some super-strict definition behind what a "remake" is supposed to include.

Attached: 1640821578985.png (960x540, 713.49K)

you are an absolute retard talking about 2d games

Feel free to acknowledge the 3D examples I gave, then.

you absolutely can not notice the age, he sounds the same in control as he did in max payne 3 (and he sounded the same as in 1 and 2, he just was too soft/gentle in those two)

his model is fucking terrible though, i hope they use better digital scans for sam and him

someone has the source code, how else did the mobile port happen a decade ago?

Aren't Rockstar the ones who'd be in charge of patching the original games? It's more likely they just don't care.

fingers crossed they keep their grubby fingers off of anything besides publishing

Attached: max payne mob tier.png (892x838, 222.54K)

>WHAT THE- in low tier

Bad list.

>No Sam Lake 3D model no buy.

I think they should put one in as an easter egg, at least. Like an unlockable model after completing the game once. And Sam Lake should make the gassy-constipated face for the model.

YO

Nah, they got bought out so the original publishers had to scramble and took whatever they could get.

Battle out of Hell was good

WHACK EM 1>3>2

>"Hey-YA"
My favorite.

no original voice = no buy from me

I'm more concerned that they won't use the RAGE engine
