otherwise it lingers above while moving to the edges of the unit to dissipate, the core CPU is not being affected by this

this works on PCs because you can adjust fan speed manually to account for a restricted intake/output

on consoles you'd be choking the system to automatically drive up the fans over time which would cause more wear-and-tear on the system
