I reach a point where my brain just freezes because of how things going on. Still love the game though.
Whenever a game expects me to put in more thought than pointing my gun at enemies and holding down the trigger while strafing or slamming down the gas pedal and steering full lock at the correct moment.
Me no retard. Me smart. Me beat game
I will never finish this game.
>start any Zachtronics game
>solve puzzle
>get shitty results on the charts
>feel retarded
>stop playing
Post your favourite retard solutions OP
Cost is best metric fight me
this but unironically
i'm too low iq for any and all strategy and puzzle games
Exapunks is fun at first, easy even
Then it gets harder
Most of the people at the top of the leaderboards aren't there because of their first try. They probably spent ages trying to optimise their solution.
tutorial sucks, i cant comprehend the arms
Also retarded enough to press Enter early
Anyway I got filtered at modem sync when every EXA has to fire off at the same time
airship fuel, the great filter of opus magnum
Tie for my other favourite
When is Zach going to make another game?
Smooth, I like it
Showing off our airship fuel solutions?
That multibonder makes me feel retarded. Nice one
You son of a bitch
opus magnus might have one of the most gentle zachtronic learning curves
Got filtered by this like you wouldn't believe
>this was my first solution
did I do good, anons?
Oh hey, I have one.
RETARD IS ME
was "big arm" solutions a thing in Opus Magnum like it was in Infinifactory?
This is how I feel. Game is fun up until it makes me feel retarded. Restart trying to fix retardedness but cause other chaos in doing so. Having a good time.
What is it like in Infinifactory?
Never played IF, I was just going for the lowest cycles. Gotta go fast.
imagine if you could extend those arms to 10 lengths
you can now cover great distances in 1 move
>i am speed
I do not understand any of this European lingo at all.
Impressive, very nice.
Does beating the zachtronic games actually make you smarter/improve puzzle solving skills? Obviously, as long as you don't look up solutions.
>1 arm challenge
i like how the game has a stage that actually encourages that mindset
it likes to make you feel like a retard first tho
Favorite Zachtronics game, anons?
Any recommendations of similar games?
I recently played SOKOBOT, it was fun.
>those two pointless arms
for what purpose
it's an abstract merchant
kek
Never heard of this before
lmfao
Just refined my older solution to go 10 cycles faster
to be fair this is a super crash course into micro controllers. if you had no experience before hand its pretty much the biggest filter in the world.
outta my way cyclets we get this shit done quick
I haven't played this in a very long time
the worst part?
some puzzles are stupidly easy, the answer is right there but my smooth ass brain can't figure it out at first or five tries.
Some of the tasks in Shenzhen I/O cross the line to 'this is work that I should be getting paid to do' territory
Is it possible to complete all the puzzles with one arm each?
I would assume yes, but it would take a lot of commands and probably tracks.
All Zachtronics games are like that, this is creative work VERY reminiscent of actual engineering/programming. You just don't have to deal with writing documentation and horrible bosses
Cost, cycles or area?
I kneel
this one still makes me laugh
I don't understand why this finishes one cycle faster than
Area every time
miniaturization will forever be the future
Alan's Automaton Workshop is kind of cool
1cycle is hard to differentiate just looking at the resultant machine.
I was fine playing their games but then i saw youtube shenzenio has people creating a raytracer engine inside the game which is a powerlvl i will never go even close to.
You cant even max out leaderboards initially because you get pieces that help later, so coming back can improve score.
My very first airship fuel
Ironically Factorio taught me how to really problem solve well, whenever your building a complicated assembly line just break it down into little pieces, and build each one individually. IE for red circuits start with the wires, then the electronic circuit then the plastic.
My fastest airship fuel
Shenzen I/O is the best zachtronics game imo
>give me the most customizable combat vehicle building game ever
>game, what do you mean I have to learn how buoyancy works in real life
>game, what do you mean you don't have template ships for new players to work with
I'm stuck on the tutorial for 3 hours and I. still have no idea what the fuck I'm doing.
area
gave up on spacechem too, I am not smart enough or patient enough to solve those problems.
