What is your go to pistol for your playthroughs or do you like to mix it up everytime?

I find it funny Operation Raccoon City and Umbrella Corps(the game) both feature what CAPCOM thinks a HUNK game would play like meanwhile RE2make's HUNK scenario was exactly what fans wanted: Running through a gauntlet with just enough weapons and munitions to keep moving. A HUNK and his team clean house game would be boring since Resident Evil gameplay relies on not starting with an entire arsenal and teammates to pilfer ammo from once they die. HUNK is only fun because his sequence is short.

It does. The action mechanics that don't service the main campaign make mercenaries way more fun. It's the sole reason I think Jake should get his own action forcused RE spin off.

The action mechanics are all what make the main campaign's highest difficulties playable too, though. An average casual can not complete the difficulty on their own.
Mercenaries peaked with 6, especially fun if you can play with friends.

I noped out of RE8 after the intro tutorial. It seemed like an RE4 retread with le whacky and le mysterious characters, instead of the organic eccentricity of Code Vernoica or RE4.
