What went so wrong?

The constant issue with big bosses before was that you basically stick to their bum for most of the fight and don't actually see what they look like all that much
What they tried to do with this sucker as well the Fire Giant is to make them periodically move to spice things up a little and make you admire more than 30% of the overall model
Whether it was a good idea or not is up to you, I kinda missed Radagon but fighting this thing was kino too with all the fancy moves he pulls off

They keep doing shit like this but their games just fucking suck to do this bullet hell type of attack. And they added a bunch of bosses in elden ring that are just bosses from a fucking devil may cry game. It's like they want to make an actual crazy action game but Miyazaki stuck to the fucking faggot high fantasy setting and they just copy/pasted dark souls 3 instead.

You have bosses and enemies doing crazy shit that is also effective and you're stuck with bleed and rolling.

The camera actually zooms out during some of his moves, I'm pretty sure they have some kind of design philosophy about their camera movement they autistically stick to and actively work around, I mean, there weren't turning thing obstructing the camera semi-transparent before Sekiro iirc

The fact you can brute force your way through them with an AI doesn't somehow make the bosses well designed.

? im not saying it has to have some super awesomely thought out explanation, but there might be something in perspective of the game lore that is still interesting

I would say radagon is worse designed than elden beast, elden beast attacks have proper wind ups and you avoid most things by running.

You can far more consistently dodge Radagon's AOE's and spears (including the holy dart sling) than Godfrey's FULL ARENA wind AOE that he shits out thrice with a mega-quick stomp.

Nah, godfrey was easier to learn even with all the delayed attacks, there's a flinch before they make contact, Radagon has a lot of delayed attacks that you have to memorize because they immediately touch ground after the wind up, not fun nor fair.

This attack is painful. Not only you have to wait for this fucking ball to blow up, but also have to mind what Elden Beast is doing which is hard when your screen is filled with those fucking dots that are just there to annoy you.

This fight should have had Torrent. Would make this far more conclusive. Having your final fight be on Torrent who helped you so much throughout your journey. Could give this some sense of finality..... Also negate the FRUSTRATION of running after this space bug whale.

Doesn't make the fight easier at all, but goddamn is it satisfying.
Boss fight was pretty cool, but Torrent would've made it a lot cooler, yeah. Imagine if you can summon him in some upgraded form (like the Regal Ancestor. Give Torrent a mega-dash and a triple jump) since you're fighting in the wellspring of literally all the power in the Lands Between.

you can outrun both of those attacks by just running in a single direction, the blades of light are also easy to dodge even with the clutter of elden stars in the way
of all the bullshit non-playtested boss mechanics in this game this one is one of the least offensive
