That's just for the Euro market though. Like if you're counting all sales then Japan is most likely lower. We know that it sold 1 million copies in Japan but only 400,000 were boxed copies so that leaves 60% as digital. From there it's probably 30% PS and 30% PC. Worldwide PC obviously wins because of China, I wouldn't be surprised if over 60% of all copies sold were on Steam, hell I wouldn't be surprised if the number was as high as 70%.

They're slowly starting to realize how easy it is to use Steam. Combine that with Japanese publishers/developers putting their games on Steam and how Japanese streamers are showing thousands of their viewers what Steam is, and it makes sense how the numbers rose over the last couple of years. And like mentioned, APEX is fucking huge in Japan specifically on PC and it's a free to play game that's easily accessed by using Steam.
And since PlayStation's brand recognition fell off a fucking cliff there, they now have to start giving other platforms a try.
